Remaining Project Runway Designers Dish About Samantha

March 24, 2013 09:00 AM by Donna W. Martin

We bid farewell to Samantha on this week’s episode of Project Runway. But how did her fellow designers feel about her as a designer? And what did they think of her being eliminated from the competition? Take the jump for all the details!

According to Lifetime, it was a mixed bag among the six remaining designers when it came to the topic of Samantha and her elimination. Here’s what they had to say…

Layana thought Samantha was and was one of the few designers that never had problems with anyone and stayed away from drama (unlike herself). And added that she thought Richard should have gone home.

Michelle thought Samantha was super sweet and kind but admitted that wasn’t her first impression of her. “I thought she was going to be a super b*tch,” Michelle said, “and she is not. She has got a heart of gold and is ridiculously talented.” However, Michelle thought this week’s garment was poorly made, looked junior and resembled an ice skating costume.

Patricia described Samantha as honest and direct and said she enjoyed working with her. She explained saying she’d rather know where someone stands than try to figure them out or have them lie to her.

Daniel summed it up saying he thought Samantha was fabulous and that he got her as a designer.

Stanley believed she deserved to go home because her work was sloppy and it wasn’t up to her normal high standards. He thought the shape of the garment was there but it was just all over the place and it wasn’t a classic Lord & Taylor.

Richard said he didn’t know if Samantha deserved to go home for the challenge. He even admitted that he loved her design, but was quick to say, “It needed to see an iron [because] it looked like she pulled it out of her luggage after a cross-country trip.”

What do you think of the remaining designers comments about Samantha? And who do you agree with? Sound off in the comments and let us know.
