Celebrity Apprentice: Gary Busey’s 40 Year Hollywood Career

The always entertaining and lovable Gary Busey has been making waves on season 13 of the NBC reality TV series, Celebrity Apprentice. While he has worked alongside his team–at times stealing the show with his larger than life personality–he has also been called the “weakest link” by his entire team! Busey has enjoyed a long career in Hollywood, having been in the business for over 40 years. Keep reading to find out more about the actor!

Busey has appeared in several movies including “The Firm,” “Under Siege,” “Point Break,” “Big Wednesday,” “Straight Time,” and “Lethal Weapon.” 2013 marks the 35th Anniversary of “The Buddy Holly Story” which gave Busey a BAFTA win and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his performance in the title role of Buddy Holly. For the movie, Busey did his own singing and played the guitarĀ in the biopic.

In addition to garnering attention for appearing as a contestant on Celebrity Apprentice, Busey also starred in Celebrity Wife Swap. Other TV credits include HBO’s Entourage, a recurring role on the syndicated sitcom Mr. Box Office and a special guest-star role, playing himself on Two and a Half Men.

While competing on the all-star cast of Donald Trump’s hit reality TV series, Celebrity Apprentice, the 68 year-old is representing the charity organization: Busey Foundation for Children’s Kawasaki Disease.
