Celebrity Apprentice Profile: Penn Jillette

Always ready to create an illusion or trick, Penn Jillette is looking to raise as much money as he can on Celebrity Apprentice for his charity: Opportunity Village. So far, he has managed to fly under the radar and stay out of the drama on the NBC reality TV series. The 58 year-old is no stranger to reality TV–he was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars and appeared on Top Chef. Keep reading to find out more information about the magician!

Jillette is part of the world-famous Emmy Award winning magic duo and Las Vegas headliners Penn & Teller. The business partners have been together since 1975. Penn & Teller’s live show spent years on Broadway and is now the longest-running headliner show in Las Vegas where it plays nightly at The Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.

He recently co-hosted the Discovery Channel’s “Penn & Teller Tell A Lie.” He also co-hosted the controversial Showtime series, “Penn & Teller” Bullshit!” which was the longest-running show in the network’s history and was nominated for 16 Emmy Awards. In addition, Jillette hosted the NBC game show “Identity.”

Besides competing on Celebrity Apprentice and Dancing with the Stars, Jillette appeared more than 20 times on David Letterman as well as several other TV shows like Chelsea Lately, The Simpsons, Friends, and Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

In 2011, Jillette released his book, “God No! Signs You May Alredy Be An Atheist and Other Magic Tales” spent six weeks on the New York Times Best Sellers list.
