This week on Dancing with the Stars, it wasn’t your typical elimination episode, but instead, we watched as Dorothy Hamill withdrew from the competition due to an injury. After her exit, Hamill revealed that she is still feeling the pain of her departure…not only in her back!
When Dorothy Hamill joined the cast of Dancing With The Stars, everyone expected the Olympic figure skater to do well on the show, not make an early exit! Unfortunately, that is exactly what happened this week when Hamill suffered a back injury, that led her doctors to suggest she exit the show . Hamill ended up withdrawing on Tuesday’s show, bringing the elimination to a stop.
After her exit, Dorothy Hamill spoke to the media about how hard it was to leave the competition, explaining: “I’m really feeling a huge loss and sadness.” As for her future, Hamill says that right now she is focusing on getting her back and spine better, and she hopes to be able to skate (and dance) again someday. “If I get better and Dancing With the Stars would have me, I would come back in a heartbeat,” Dorothy also said. We’re sure that DWTS and fans would love to have her back someday!
We wish Dorothy Hamill a speedy recovery, and we will definitely miss her on Dancing With The Stars!
