If Joan Rivers really does know best, maybe she should keep some of her comments to herself. After offending Grammy-winning singer, Adele on late night television, NBC‘s Celebrity Apprentice alum rehashed the fiery feud with an apology that just may be more offensive than her first dig!
Fans and critics alike are used to the brash comments that come out of comedian Joan Rivers’ mouth. Whether you think it’s funny or not, we’ve all pretty much accepted it as being what she does. But did the Fashion Police star go a little too far this time when she made fun of singer Adele’s weight?
Here’s how it started….
Back in February, Rivers made an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman and joked that the British singing sensation’s single “Rollin’ in the Deep” should have been called “Rollin’ in the Deep Fried Chicken” (groan). And if that wasn’t bad enough, Joan added a gesture with her arms, mocking Adele’s wide stature.
Understandably, the new mom took offense to the statement and demanded an apology.
Last week, the incident was rehashed when Rivers was interviewed by The Huffington Post. Joan mentioned that Adele wanted her to apologize after her late night gaff, then quipped, “I took an ad out on her ass. I said, ‘You are not fat,’ and then I had room for a lot of other ads.
“She should just calm down or lose weight,” Rivers added.
Do you think Joan Rivers went too far with her comments about Adele’s weight, or do you agree with the comedian? Sound off below.
