No America Idol fans did not get it right. There is no way Burnell should have been elminated over Devin Velez. Burnell although I felt would be elminated soon, but Devin Velez, who cannot remember the entire song, messes up when singing with a group and sings off key should be at home instead of Burnell.

The top 7 Idol contestants took to the stage on Wednesday night, ready to rock the judges and the audience’s socks off…and in Janelle Arthur’s case, a pair of pink, sparkly, rockstar cowboy boots, and a western inspired, fringe vest, as she received high fashion praise from Randy Jackson and Nicki Minaj. Burnell Taylor kicked off the evening, as he covered a Bon Jovi classic, “You Give Love A Bad Name,” finishing off with a great amount of appreciation, as shown by the audience, and even though the song wasn’t in his comfort zone, the judges were quick to point out his weakness. However, he soon returned to his crooner roots, as he and his bestie and fellow contestant, Candice Glover, rocked the house with their duet. Candice, who flew through her performance without incident, despite a recent toe injury on April Fools Day. “Resident Mom” figure, Kree Harrison, sang Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart,” effortlessly, like it was her job, and at the same time, was able to fight through her injury. In her case, a pinched nerve. The judges, of course, praised her efforts in getting through the flawless performance. Another duet during the evening, led to a not so flawless performance, between Lazaro Arbos and Angie Miller. However, both redeemed themselves in their solo performances, as Lazaro successfully covered Queen’s, “We Are The Champions,” wearing a latin inspired outfit, and Angie belted out Evanescence’s, “Wake Me Up,” while rocking a very feminine, and all black ensemble. My favorite performance of the night, however, has to be country cutie Janelle Arthur, who covered Billy Joel’s “You May Be Right.” With her natural flair and ability to perform on stage, she owns the country vibe, without a doubt, and better than any other contestant. As Michael Jackson’s guitarist, Orianthi accompanied each contestant’s performance, the night quickly came to a close on a high note. Thursday night, the Top 7 contestants performed for the last time together, as one of them would be going home. At the top of the broadcast, Angie, Burnell, Lazaro, Kree, Janelle, Candice, and Amber performed another classic Queen song, “Somebody To Love,” paving the way for an evening filled with Idol alumni, including country superstar, Carrie Underwood, and season nine contestant, Casey James, as they sung their latest singles off their records. As the results were read, the girls were saved, and Lazaro Arbos was the last man standing, as Burnell Taylor was sent home, after receiving the lowest amount of votes after Rock Week, and being placed in the bottom two. Unfortunately, the judges decided not to use their one save, after voting on Burnell’s final song. With that said, the top 6 are set to take the stage once again next week, as they sing for your votes. Until then, keep rockin’ America!

@Stacy Printers, I think you mean Lazaro Arbos and not Davin Velez. Devin was voted off on the March 28th episode.
