Kathy Griffin’s Talk Show Canceled

April 07, 2013 06:15 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

After two years of rather unimpressive ratings, Kathy Griffin’s talk show has been canceled. Although she had hoped to replicate the success of popular reality series Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, the comedienne apparently was not meant for the talk show circuit. So, what’s next for Kathy?

Kathy Griffin canceled? Yes, it’s true — Kathy Griffin recently learned from Bravo that her time as a talk show host is about to draw to a close. And given the lackluster ratings, it’s no surprise the cable network decided to refrain from renewing the show for a third season. Clearly not pleased by the news, the comedienne recently announced the development during a stand-up performance in Cincinnati. She then confirmed the cancellation again after Perez Hilton reported on the story, tweeting, “Sad but tru. Appreciate your kind words, PH.”

If you’re a Kathy Griffin fan, you might be bummed out that her talk show is ending. But the good news is, you’re still likely to see plenty of your favorite comedienne in the future. Rumor has it, Kathy and best bud Anderson Cooper have a CNN show in the works and are in the process of filming a pilot. We hope this is true, for whether you like Kathy or not, you have to admit that she and Anderson Cooper make a pretty amusing pair. The two proved this once again a few weeks ago, when they co-hosted an episode of Anderson Live.

Are you sad to see Kathy Griffin’s talk show come to an end? Or were the ratings low for a reason? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below!
