Bruno Mars has already been quite the presence on the reality circuit, appearing as a guest star on The Voice and American Idol but now his sisters are joining in on the fun! Jaime, Tahiti, Tiara and Presley Hernandez will star in a WE show about their journey as a girl group called The Lylas. Should be interesting!
Did you know that Bruno Mars comes from a musical family? The singer’s four sisters are all part of an amazing band known as The Lylas. And now, this music group will be featured in a brand new reality show! This series will follow the sisters as they work to put together their very first album. It is set to air on Friday nights, beginning this fall, and thus far, is slated for eight episodes.
Lauren Gellert — WEtv’s vice president of production and development — explained in a recent statement that the sisters’ love of music matches that seen in their award-winning brother. “The Lylas are fierce, independent women, leaving their home — and in some cases their relationships and kids — for a chance at pursuing their love of music. ” Gellert added that the close but at times tense relationships of the sisters would make for excellent television, for, “their story is one filled with all of the drama and chaos that comes from making a major life change, with the added spice of doing it alongside your sisters.”
Of course, the big question is whether or not Bruno Mars will make an appearance on the new reality series. No word yet as to the singer’s involvement, but we wouldn’t be surprised if he showed up at some point!
