It looks like there’s another legal battle on the horizon for NBA player Kris Humphries. Not only is he headed to court to face divorce proceedings with soon-to-be ex-wife, Kim Kardashian of Keeping Up With The Kardashians but now, he’s also being sued by a Beverly Hills suit shop for reneging on a promise. Keep reading for more details.
According to TMZ, Humphries and wife Kim Kardashian approached Scott Hill a few years ago inquiring about clothing for Kris. They struck a deal with Hill where Kris would receive a 30% discount on his clothing and in exchange, Kris promised to introduce at least two other NBA players to Hill within a 12 month period.
Kris agreed to the deal and went on to buy more than $46k worth of merchandise using the 30% discount. However, Kris failed to hold up his end of the deal by not introducing other NBA players to Hill. And as if that weren’t enough, he still owes Hill for more than $6k worth of unpaid merchandise. Wow! He makes all that money playing basketball and he can’t even pay for his clothes. What’s up with that?
The original deal was made two years ago and Kris had one year to fulfill his end of the bargain but he didn’t so now, Hill is suing Kris for bilking him out of thousands of dollars. Can you blame him?
The lawsuit states Hill is suing Kris for a total of $52k in damages plus interest. Ouch!
What do you think of Kris’s latest legal troubles? Do you think a judge will order him to pay up? And do you think he should pay? Sound off in the comments section and let us know!
