Last fall, we watched the very controversial series, Breaking Amish on TLC, which left many viewers calling out the show as fake. Despite all the controversy surrounding the show, TLC has renewed it for season two – and get this, we’ll even get a spin-off as well!
Yes, you read that correctly. Not only has TLC renewed Breaking Amish for a second season, but they will also be airing a spin-off of what many viewers have referred to as “Faking Amish.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, Breaking Amish will return for a second season in late summer/fall with three new women and four new men, as production will take place this spring.
Now, if you were hoping for the original cast members from last season, you’re in luck, as a spin-off has been set for them. Breaking Amish: Brave New World will feature Abe, Rebecca, Kate, Sabrina and Jeremiah as they take on new territory and a fresh start in an ex-Amish community in Florida. The Hollywood Reporter claims: “The series will feature love triangles, dramatic moments between the roommates, surprise visits, financial woes and career decisions as the group attempt to acclimate to their new ‘English’ lives in yet another unfamiliar city.”
There is no word on whether or not Rebecca’s daughter, who was kept a secret most of the first season, will appear on the spin-off with her mom. Breaking Amish: Brave New World is set to premiere on TLC at 10 p.m. on Sunday, May 12.
