Isabella Barrett: The 6-Year-Old Pageant Millionaire

April 15, 2013 04:02 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

Forget Honey Boo Boo — the latest Toddlers and Tiaras star drawing all the attention is 6-year-old pageant millionaire Isabella Barrett. That’s right, Isabella has earned over one million through her success as a pageant princess. What will happen to all that money?

Some young girls maintain their former lifestyles after earning a lot of money in the pageant circuit. Honey Boo Boo is the perfect example, with her mother June Shannon putting all earnings from the pageants and TV show away into trust funds and continuing to make do on Sugar Bear’s income. Of course, it could be argued that Honey Boo Boo’s main source of income depends on her family maintaining their redneck lifestyle, but that’s beside the point.

Isabella Barrett serves as the perfect contrast to Honey Boo Boo. She doesn’t have her own reality show (yet), but thanks to a makeup line and other lucrative endeavors, the little pageant star is raking in an impressive amount of money. She tells the Daily Mirror that she’s a millionaire and loves living the lifestyle of a rich girl. This includes owning over sixty pairs of shoes!

Getting to this point wasn’t all that difficult, says Isabella’s mother Susanna. The momager says that her daughter first began seeing success in 2011, when she was entered in several beauty pageants and promptly recruited for Toddlers and Tiaras. This soon led to other opportunities. “Bella fell in love with all the glitz and glamour and was a natural performer. Now she owns her own business and already has enough money in the bank to secure her future.”

While shoes are the main source of spending in Isabella’s newly lavish lifestyle, it appears that the pageant star is also no Honey Boo Boo when it comes to mealtime. Where Alana would be satisfied eating a combination of noodles, ketchup and mayo (aka sketti), Isabella insists on only the best. “[Bella] once ordered $2,200 worth of food. It’s never cheeseburgers and fries, always the most expensive like filet mignon and lobster. I know it seems pompous, but to us it’s just funny and part of her personality.”

Susanna is supposedly trying to prevent her daughter from growing up spoiled, but it’s pretty clear to us that she’s not succeeding in that mission. What do you think? Leave a comment and let us know!

Somebody needs to take over this girl’s finances. Six year olds don’t even know about filet mignon and lobster $2200.00 dinners. The parents are living it up on the money their daughter is earning. This gig isn’t going to last forever, she will be a very sad girl with some severe mental health issues. Her self-esteem is tied to winning and her expectations are so over-the-top no one will be able to meet them. She should be putting money away NOW! Look at Honey Booboo looks don’t last forever.

This child will never know the difference between what is reality and what is not. These parents flaunt their children to all of the world, turn them into monsters, and give into their every demand. That is not real life, and that is definitely not parenting. You want to be a good parent? Teach your children about respect and fairness. Let them know that as long as you try your best, it doesn’t matter if you win or lose. Spend some quality time snuggling on the couch or playing outside. God forbid your little pageant princess get dirty once in awhile! Let little girls be little girls. They won’t be little long. Don’t put them in makeup and sleazy outfits and push them until they break and make them think that winning is the most important thing in the world. Be proud of them no matter what. Wake up people you are screwing your children up for life!!!

They probably spent 2 million in order for her to ‘earn’ that 1 million.

This is disgusting. It’s bad enough to hear about adults who are greedy, self-centered and full of themselves. But this girl is being raised thinking that it’s OK to throw away money for no reason except that her parents think it’s funny. What kind of adult will she turn into? Just because she “earns” the money does not make it OK to be wasteful. Those who are blessed are held more accountable in God’s view. Superficial and shallow parents raising a daughter who will be even more so!

Just what the world needs…another Paris Hilton type. To the mom, no, it doesn’t ‘sound’ pompous…it IS pompous.

This is child abuse. Plain and simple. Maybe they aren’t physically abusing her but they are damaging her beyond repair. Can you imagine ANY guy that wants to date her when she gets older? Spoiled brat will be a golddigger.

What are these people really teaching their daughters? That you have to wear tons of makeup and fake teeth and hair and prance and dance around a stage to make it in the world? Teaching your daughter about the struggles of women to be taken seriously in a mans world would be impressive to me! Another spoiled pageant brat!!!!!

Quote: “But to us, it is just funny and part of her personality”…funny now; in the future, you are going to wonder why she acts the way she will be acting. It isn’t “funny”…it is “sad” and disgusting! Hopefully, there will not be a reality show featuring Isabella!
