The battle rounds kicked off last night on The Voice, and they were explosive! Tonight, the battle continues, but could Adam Levine surprise us anymore than he did last night? With so much talent on the line, which lucky coaches would take a steal tonight?
Team Adam kicked off the battles tonight with a battle of his Country boys, Michael Austin and Warren Stone. Adam took care of his civil service guys tonight by keeping them in their comfort zone by giving them My Kinda Party by Jason Aldean for their performance. Michael revealed that he had a tumor removed from his nose recently, but would it give him a disadvantage? Not at all! Both guys were great, but even Blake Shelton explained that he would choose Michael, but Usher loved Warren’s swag. And the win went to Warren! Surprisingly, Blake did not steal Michael, and Michael Austin was sent packing.
Next team up for battle was Usher’s – Jeff Lewis and Josiah Hawley. Usher chose the classic Police tune, Roxane for these two confident dudes. But, were these guys too cocky? After they did a rundown of the performance, they shared a laugh, which obviously ticked Usher off. Usher got serious and made sure the guys knew it was no joke! The performance did not impress much – at least as much as the eye candy! The coaches were not impressed much either, well at least everyone but Blake, but no one listens to him anyway, right? So, who did Usher choose for the win? Josiah won the battle.
And the battles continued with Blake Shelton’s team. This time it was Caroline Glaser versus Danielle Bradbery. Blake paired these two girls together feeling that neither of them had the experience that his other team members’ did. The girls were given Go Put Your Records On by Corrine Bailey Rae. Sheryl Crow was impressed with Caroline’s unique voice, and I have to agree with her there. Danielle was good, but Caroline was definitely the better of the two. The mentors loved it, but all seemed unsure who they would pick.
Adam admitted that he was moron for not choosing Caroline to begin with, but who did Blake choose? For the win, Blake chose Danielle, leaving us a bit confused. However, as soon as Caroline stood there alone, the steal buzzers were going from Usher and Adam – good choice guys! Usher and Adam pleaded their cases, and of course Blake had to throw in his two cents which was likely meant to steer her away from Adam. Caroline chose to go with Adam!
