Earlier this year, we reported that Dancing With The Stars alum, Chaz Bono, 44, had lost more than 40 pounds. But he didn’t stop there! His weight loss total has continued to climb and now he’s down a whopping 60 LB’s. How did he do it? Keep reading to find out!
Losing weight is tough and can be emotionally and physically draining but last November, Chaz decided it was time to make the commitment and improve not only his health but his appearance as well. He appeared on The Doctors where he opened up about his desire to lose some of his excess weight, at least 50 pounds.
Chaz didn’t waste any time and got busy trying to reach his goal. And by February of this year, on The Doctors follow up show, he had done just that, dropping an impressive 43 pounds. He didn’t quite reach the 50-pound mark but he didn’t miss it by much either. He even upped his total weight loss goal to 80 pounds.
So how has he been doing? According to People, Chaz has continued to stay committed to losing weight and since February, has shed even more pounds giving him a whopping total of 60 LB’s lost. So how did he do it?
Chaz remembers his time on Dancing With The Stars and says he still enjoys dance. In fact, dance is his exercise of choice, and he still takes classes. But it’s taken more than dancing for Chaz to shed the pounds. He also had to change the way he eats.
But Chaz isn’t a big fan of diets and said, “Diets don’t work, you have to change what you eat.” These days, “I really avoid grains and starches, so meats and vegetables and fruits are my diet,” he said. “I make them all different ways to keep it interesting.”
