Storage Wars Drops 3 More Cast Members From Numerous Episodes

May 02, 2013 07:21 AM by Lisa Princ

Looks like there is more craziness going on at A&E’s Storage Wars, following the Dave Hester lawsuit back in December, and more recently, the death of Mark Balelo. What’s going on now? Rumor has it that three of the show’s main cast members have been dropped from many of the season’s upcoming episodes!

Storage Wars is once again shaking things up behind the scenes! Following the lawsuit by Dave Hester, in which he claimed that many aspects of the show are actually fake, A&E has decided to cut down on three more cast members. According to new reports, Darrell Sheets, along with Dan and Laura Dotson. Sheets is rumored to have been cut from about six extra episodes, while it’s unclear how many the Dotsons have been dropped from.

According to a show insider, the reason these three cast members have been cut back is due to money – shocking, right? And rumor has it that they are not the least bit happy about the cuts, but neither was Dave Hester, who suffered the same fate before filing his lawsuit. Hester also claimed in the past that the entire cast was aware of the show being fake, and that it had been discussed among the cast in the past. Then Hester was given the boot.

The real question now is – will these three follow in Hester’s footsteps? Sadly, what the show obviously does not realize that it is the cast that makes the show. The more cuts they make, the more viewers they are going to lose, don’t you agree?

Will you continue to watch Storage Wars with the cuts? We know you have an opinion, and we want to heat it! Let us know in the comments!

Storage Wars with just Barry, Brandi and Jarrod? Maybe it will work, after all Barry did say that he enjoyed dipping his cigar in Brandi (or is that Brandy?)

I don’t watch and could care less about reality shows. although I do watch storage wars when there is nothing else worth watching. I wouldn’t miss it if it were to be dropped. the cast members are the ones though that peaks my interest in watching the show.but as the saying goes. stupid is as stupid does and the producers of this show are the stupidist people with their imagination of what a show should be.

Thank you for cutting Hester, he was so obnoxious, maybe that was a role he played whatever, he was RUDE! I do like the couple, the Dotsons, and Sheetsis ok. Just don’t ever lose Barry, he can be a bit rude, but he is funny. I would love to see a Mother or Father and son or daughter team that were fun. The Father and son team right now thats been on upsets me, the Father can be so abusive, the son needs to do this w/o Dad. Thanks

I never liked Dave Hester anyway, I don’t miss him. I don’t think I’ll miss Sheets either, those two are in the same league. Agitating!

time to wrap up the whole show. Been on long enough that its all routine, besides Barry needs a long break and Brandy needs a divorce

I’m getting FED UP with Storage Wars anyway. These cast changes happen I may give up totally. It’ll have lost it’s “wow factor”, as Darrel Sheets would say. I don’t see how the Dotsons could be removed. It was my understanding that Dan was one of the shows co-creators, or had the idea and pitched it to the production company. Episodes featuring just Barry, Jarrod, and the future ex-porn star (Brandi)? Not bidding on that!

Cutting Hester was a blessing as we didn’t like him or his cocky better than thou attitude. The lose of Bolilo was a shock but to cut the other actors is a travesty that any true Storage Wars fan; including the wife and I; will probably result in us( and obviously other fans) to stop watching the show entirely.

If too many of the GOOD guys get cut I won’t be watching.

I would like to know how they can drop Dan Dotson from some of the episodes since he is the auctioneer. I know one thing, if they start to drop Barry or Jared and Brandi, the show will tank. Why not cut screen time from Darrell Sheets son and cut out alot of the interviews. They should also have never started Storage Wars Texas.

I stopped watching when Dave left. Brandy the man and can’t pee with out asking Brandy-Jarred are just a pathetic but true examples of America’s disfunction. Poor Barry…I love watching you but without Dave the show just stinks. To those who can no longer stomach this show watch Duck Dynasty. Men wear pants on this show.

Dave Hester was my favorite. They ruined the dynamic of the show when they fired him. It just keeps going downhill. Why is it necessary to mess with perfection?

  14. LisaS Says:
    May 2nd, 2013 at 9:30 am

This is ridiculous. I was happy when Dave was dropped, but now I am unhappy. I love this show the way it is, but will stop watching it if they drop the three. Come on guys, do you know what you are doing?

  15. connie Says:
    May 2nd, 2013 at 9:37 am

I like the crew the way it is and yes I would probably stop if things changed. I like their dynamics. I have my favorites and some I love to hate like I did Hester. I was not wild about Mark coming in but it was a small thing.
As for faked or not…most people know all reality shows are. I watch a few and I expect entertainment, sometimes a good laugh. Losing Laura really wouldn’t bother me. Hate to see her lose her job though, but it happens.

I think hester is a putz. He made lots off the show. They should have out him in a locker and welded the door shut! Anyway, If they cut anyone from SW I won’t watch. I don’t watch the findingd ,I watch for the characters…….

  17. MOL Says:
    May 2nd, 2013 at 9:43 am

What they do not realize is that the people make the show not what is found in storage units. That’s entertainment!!!!

stopped watching along time ago. It got so reptitious same old crap every week. It looked fake. Than u brought on other storage war shows jus more of the same crap. U did’nt keep it real, but that seems to happen w/alot of these reality shows. Its time to move on…………

Why mess with perfection. The original cast is the only one I watch and getting rid of Darrell and suctioneer couple. Here we go again. WHY ARE TELEVISON EXECUTIVES SO DAMN STUPID.

leave a good thing alone and let it soar. Next, they will want to domesticate thee Roertson and follow Mrs. Kay around the grocery store.

I haven’t watched MSNBC since the day they canned ED Schultz and if A&E ai’t careful they will suffer the same fate at my house.

    Try Me!

I would miss Darrell butchering the English language and Dan speaking a mile a minute. If money is the reason for A&E leaving them off these episodes, then I suspect Storage Wars will be gone soon. Too many spin-offs?

  21. Suzi Says:

What makes the show is the FINDs and the cast playing off one another. If the show is FAKE and “”finds”" are planted in the storages…..

I won’t miss egotistical YUP truck at all, good ridance. But if the Gambler goes, so do I!! Barry and “lil missy” will be missed, but it’s the players, as much as the find, that makes it fun to watch!

  24. linda Says:

still looking forward to new shows without Hester.Losing Darell is no great loss, either.
any show on tv has professionals working on it.some just don’t seem that way.
like all shows I watch on television, it is taken in lightly and not always fact-based.

  26. Jackie Says:

A&E should cancel this whole show. It is fake, fake, fake. I worked in storage for many years and this show is a joke. I think the network should be held accountable for presenting it as real or clean it up and show an actual auction the way they really work. This is nothing but crap.

  27. lauren Says:
    May 2nd, 2013 at 12:51 pm

I have liked the show for some time even with disturbing Dave Hester, the guy you loved to hate. There was “good” chemistry and the gambler was part of that. He was gruff and liked to give Dave Hester all he could handle. As far as Dan and Laura, I don’t know how much I will miss them, kinda depends on who they replace them with. Truth is I will give the show a chance but hope they don’t kill the goose that lays the golden egg.

  28. Natalie Says:
    May 2nd, 2013 at 1:00 pm

I actually enjoyed watching the “Gambler” make his incorrect word choices, showing his unschooled personality and I like his son. Wonder if his new woman will stay with him now that he does not have a job? Dan and Laura have enough money, don’t really care about them two. Don’t like the new people, boring.

  29. Martha Says:
    May 2nd, 2013 at 1:20 pm

Since Hester’s been gone, I realize that I, at least, need someone to root against. Who will they have as auctioneers? Truly, Laura was getting on my nerves with her squeals of wonder when the door was rolled up. As long as Barry’s still on the program, I guess I’ll still watch.

  30. Vivienne Says:
    May 2nd, 2013 at 2:16 pm

Wow i kind of thought some of the items were fake all along anyway, still loved the show! But to get rid of these guys is the WAY TO END THE SHOW!! Hester and Sheets were a blast to watch and love the auctioneer, BAD MOVE A&E

  31. Lee Says:
    May 2nd, 2013 at 5:06 pm

I think Barry, Dan and Laura Dotson, Jarrod and Brandy and possibly Darrel should start their own show.

    They don’t need A&E.

Dave should find a nice quiet place to live on the street.

I am sorry for the tragic death of Rico Suave. This death was brought on by the persecution of drug use, too bad. I do not miss Dave Hester and his Yuuuuuuuuuup! It was over the top to the point of irritating. It is okay to change up the characters. Sometimes some people just gotta go. I like Brandy and her Husband. Barry is fun too. All and all it is a a TV program. Nimbla and all the rest are okay with me.

  34. Tiffany Says:
    May 3rd, 2013 at 1:57 pm

Dave was a douche how could anyone miss him? I am so glad he is gone. I think they need to leave it how it is. I just read all this wasn’t true anyway. Guess we will wait and see. Barry is my favorite overall. But the show wouldn’t be the same without Dan and Laura so I don’t believe it.

  35. Janet Says:
    May 28th, 2013 at 10:09 pm

Dave was just flat mean. Not to mention an egotistical a..But dumping Dan and Laura is a game changer. Darrell also. The exchange between the group was the fun part.
And if Dave doesn’t like that stuff was planted maybe he shouldn’t have inflated the values so much.

  36. gulian Says:

Dave was not liked but was an integral part of the show. He was needed for good balance of the show. I too do not like the originals gone. Dave inc.

I almost quit watching completely because Dave Hester was still there…he’s an obnoxious, greedy, self-centered braggadocio that added nothing to the show other than his incessant bragging about how wonderful and wise he is, and driving up prices for no reason other than to be mean. The show IS about the cast, and I hope it survives, although I’d rather see the original case minus Dave continue. If Dave comes back, adios, I won’t watch any more, as it’s too irritating.

Yes the characters do make the show……but the world is full of characters. Ditching Hester was a good move and I for one don’t miss him. I think they are planning on replacing the cast one at a time so as not to stick it to everyone cold turkey. No one is so important that he/she can’t be replaced. All I ask is please don’t drag any replacements in from Texas or New York.
