Punk’d star; Lindsay Lohan was supposed to begin her 90-day stint in rehab at Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, CA on May 2. But like always with Lindsay, drama ensued and plans were changed at the last minute. What happened? Take the jump to find out.
Prosecutors were expecting Lohan to check into Morningside Recovery on Thursday to begin her 90-day stay in rehab. Her attorney Mark Heller even told Los Angeles County Judge James Dabney that she was already checked in and “in the bosom” of the facility, but little did he know Lohan had other plans.
As it turns out, she was headed for Morningside but decided to go shopping instead and then considered flying back to New York. Luckily, for Lohan, her father was able to stop her from getting on the plane by telling her she would be arrested when she arrived in New York.
Meanwhile, City Attorney Terry White was on the verge of asking the judge for an arrest warrant because Lohan was in violation of her probation. She was in fact, not at the rehab facility despite the fact Heller said she had already checked in. However, White decided to back off and wait until midnight to see if she made it to the facility.
According to FOX, Lohan ditched Morningside and her attorney Mark Heller too. Instead, she opted to rehire longtime attorney Shawn Holley who will be handling her case from now on. And as far as rehab, Lohan checked into the Betty Ford Center, a facility she received treatment at once before in 2010.
What do you think of Lohan switching attorneys and rehab centers at the last minute? Did she do the right thing by getting rid of Mark Heller? Sound off in the comments and let us know.
