“Because It’s All Or Nothing.” A powerful and very appropriate title that belongs to tonight’s emotional events, as Angie Miller, Boston’s own gorgeous, bright, and cheerful daughter, got the boot on American Idol tonight, right before season four’s finale of Glee aired on Thursday Night, on Fox. With tears flowing, Rachel Berry auditioned for a role in Broadway’s “Funny Girl,” a surprise wedding took place, between McKinley High’s psychologist, Emma Pillsbury, and New Direction’s choir director, Will Schuester, and a surprise proposal occurred between two ladies, as they provided much needed love advice to Blaine and Kurt at “Breadsticks.” If that wasn’t enough, Glee’s reigning champions, once again took 1st place in regionals, in the comfort of their own auditiorium, after learning the very exciting news of Brittany’s acceptance into MIT, after she admitted to going on a long, personal journey to find who she was ultimately, as an individual. The message behind Glee’s season finale and tonight’s results show on American Idol, is to never stray from who you are as a person, no matter the given circumstances, always believe in yourself, and take risks. There is no harm in challenging yourself once in a while, as that can often provide others, as well as those around you, with the one and only chance of seeing another different side of your personality. I would consider that a big gift, as most would also tend to agree. And yes, I’m wise on my years, and therefore, I know exactly what I’m talking about. You’re welcome.
