Lindsay Lohan Can’t Leave Rehab, Will She Survive?

May 08, 2013 09:22 AM by Lisa Princ

How on earth will she survive? We’re certain that must be what Lindsay Lohan is thinking. Why, you ask? Well, because the Punk’d star is on lock down at the Betty Ford Center, despite all her recent pleas that keeping her in rehab will do no good. Ah, there is nothing like some Lohan drama to kick start your day, huh?

While some patients check into rehab and are allowed to leave and return, that does not appear to be the case for Lindsay Lohan. According to new documents sent to Lohan’s lawyer, the Betty Ford Center is keeping her on lock down, stating: “At no point will she granted access to leave while she is receiving treatment.” Lindsay will also reportedly have very limited phone and internet access during her stay at the center.

And while keeping her on lock down may seem like a good idea to most, we’re not so sure that Lohan is thrilled about the news. In fact, prior to checking in, she sat down for an interview with Piers Morgan, where Lindsay explained: “I don’t think it will be a bad thing for me to be away with myself for three months, but I don’t think I need to be on lock down for three months. I don’t think that’s rehab.”

Meanwhile, Lohan is also being re-evaluated in her “need” for Adderall, a prescription drug that she claims she needs to control her ADHD. Somehow, we think the need for Adderall may be just be another addiction she has. Do you agree?

What do you think of Lindsay Lohan being on lock down in rehab? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so sound off in the comments section and let us know where you stand.

I think you need an editor to proofread your story before publishing…

The should put Lindsay Lohan in prison.

The law does not apply to the rich, they get too many favors.

    Lock her up.

She used to be so pretty, now she looks like a crack head skank porn star whore, and that’s on a good day.

without methanphetamine (which is what adderall is), she would be a fat cow.

I think she needs to be “locked down” in jail for a year. If she was not a so called “celebrity’ she would be in jail..bottom line.

Who cares what she thinks. This is a court ordered punishment. She gets no vote.

So you’ve just written this article so you could make up stuff to yap about? It was ordered by the judge, 90-day rehab lockdown. And then you want people to make a decision about her medical needs? Are you her doctor? We don’t know why she takes the Adderall. Her doctor prescribed it for a reason, it’s not for us to sit and judge anyone or decide why they need a medication their DOCTOR prescribed. You people should really get a life and learn real news and not this gossip, trash nonsense.

I think she should be on lock down. She’s been in and out of re-hab so many times, and nothing has helped her so far. She has a real big problem and it’s going to take her along time to deal with all her issues. She needs complete evaluation and mental health with no interruptions whatsoever. Shes proved over and over that nothing has worked on her so far. Let see how the lock down does this time. Good Luck, Lindsay, your going to need all the help you can get. Listen and learn something this time.

  12. Bill Says:

It is about time someone gets serious with her. She needs to be locked down so she maybe will get off drugs and alcohol, before she ends up dead. Like so many other young people her age. She should not be treated any better than other ordinary person.

Will she survive? Yes she will…whether other patients and/or staff will is a whole different subject. why do we the public pay attention to the 50 car pile up that is known as Lindsay Lohan? If she OD’d tomorrow it wouldn’t matter. But we like to build up “celebrities” only to tear them down. When she was cute with freckles we adored her. When she was hot and under 18 some lust after. Now she is mess and we are just waiting for die…plain and simple.

  15. Citygirl Says:

I agree, lock-down will do her not good. She needs lockup!

  16. Ariel Sargeant Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 11:00 am

Lindsay will protest, lawyers will flutter, judges will oblige and the law will be ignored…. Again! Yet, Lauryn Hill goes to jail and Li’l Kim too for reasons less impacting than taking addictive drugs and endangering lives. Go figure!

  17. Steve Ulmen Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 11:11 am

Lindsey has become a pariah, an outcast, and she did it to herself for reasons only known to her. Nobody cares if she is in lockdown or not. If she wants to destroy herself, that is her business. This publicity should be ignored, just as Lindsey Lohan should be ignored. She is yesterday’s news and a waste of a person’s time.

  18. thein maung Says:

So who gave it to her?

    Probably some psychiatrist!

  19. DiAnne Wallace Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 11:13 am

I will believe it when I see it, that she serves her 3 months. I will bet the farm, if that had been me I would be in prison now. Why should a spoiled, drug addicted so called “star” be any better than the rest of us? Why do the judges keep letting her get away with her disrespect for the law? I guess being a “star” or “politicians” gets you a free pass to do whatever you want to.

  20. Greg House Says:

Hey ADDERALL is a drug, but its really just a Methamphetamine that if you DO NOT have ADHA works like snorting Cocaine or crystal meth, these people who claim this are just abusing this drug, its for school kids not grown adults with nasty habits!

I can’t believe that anyone would feel sorry for her. As often as we her name in the news for breaking the law time after time, it’s about time Lindsay pays the price in some way. If anyone else in the normal world had done what she had done they wouldn’t be in rehab lock down but in a prison. I don’t feel sorry for her one bit. She doesn’t seem to have any respect for anyone but herself. Grow up and take your punishment. What is really sad about your life is that you “were” a talented young actress and now you’re just a media hungry has-been. What a waste of talent.

  24. shanna Says:

I think she should be in prison…they threw Lauren Hill in prison for not paying money..yet this girl ..in desperate need of help needs to be punished , she put not only her life in danger but the lives of others..do we really want another breaking news story saying dead at 26 Lindsay Lohan?? thenpeople crying and talking about what might have been!..idgaf if shes rich ACCOUNTABILITY is free!

  25. Margo Arnesen Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 11:30 am

What do I think about Lohan being in rehab lockdown? She should be in PRISON lockdown. Ridiculous what this bimbo has gotten away with. ADHD my foot; she’s a druggie pure and simple, and one who gets away with stuff nobody else could just because she’s famous. All these judges who have let her off the hook should be disbarred. She’s a mess and needs to just go away.

  26. DGW Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 11:34 am

Lindsay is on lockdown because of her pass stays in rehab walking off and in one case getting into real trouble. She needs to do what the court ordered her to do and get well. If she has just an ounce of chance in her career she should take it now and get it together. She is not getting any younger and the knife can only do her so much justice when it comes to changing her looks to accommodate her acting. The fast life is damaging to anyone as a young woman she needs to preserve herself or think about finding a new career!

  27. Ray Workman Says:

Keep her in there on lock down, she needs it. This in and out game needs to end. Obviously, when she is out, she goes off the deep end, she has no control of her actions whatsoever. It’s beginning to look like a game now. She’s in keep her in there, just maybe she will learn her lesson, but, I doubt it by past experience.

  33. grammadee Says:

3 months in rehab????? That’s just a “band-aid” solution. She needs AT LEAST 6 MONTHS, if not a YEAR in rehab. Why do this rehab facilities think that a hard core addict can be “cured” in 90 days???

  34. Jodi Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 12:33 pm

Oh how sick I am of Lindsey..she has wasted her life. Enough is enough, she will end up dead soon enough from this life style she has chosen. She has spent the majority of her life being locked up, that’s all there is to remember about her!!!

Maybe when she finally O.D.s she’ll get stuck in a box she can’t get out of….we know she won’t survive that. She honestly seems to think that she’s above the law…and sadly, in our celebrity obsessed culture, she might be right.

Lindsay has a gentle soul and she would be best to go live in Tibet or India for a few years. Live with Monks; visit Ghandi; Gain a new philosophy on life. A spiritual one.

Once she is out of rehab she should move to a spiritual environment from 3-7 years, or forever. She should be
somewhere where she is treated the same as all others
and not have focus on herself. At least not until she
grows up. She’s still like a teenager now.

  46. MARIE Says:

Throw her in prison and throw away the key so that she can’t hurt an innocent person while she’s DUI. If she wants to die, why not let her die?

  47. babs Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 2:51 pm

I agree that most rehabs are a joke. I used to work at 2. One where it was usually in lieu of prison, and one in Malibu. The daily routine was “who was going to get busted today?”. LL doesn’t even believe she is an addict, so no matter how many locks are on the door, she is going to be plenty pis sed. I think we will hear about her long before 3 months.

  48. babs Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 2:52 pm

and no I am not a recovering addict. I’ve just seen enough to know that you have to want sobriety to have it.

  49. Christine Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 2:54 pm

What a stupid headline: she is in a CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT. If they don’t let her have Adderall, she is better off there than out on the street combining it with alcohol, zoloft, and trazadone.

  50. Randy Brewer Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:18 pm

I had secondary alcoholism from PTSD- 2 yrs. in Nam. It took me 3 trips to rehab, a year each time before I was able to kick the habit. Alcohol is the worst abused drug in the U.S. and yet anyone over 21 can buy all they want as long as they have the money. Evil-evil- stuff.

  51. Bob Says:

Good Luck Lindsy. None of our business.

  52. Annie Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:25 pm

    Lindsay who?

  53. Mayberry Munchkin Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:29 pm

You can’t force someone to get help. And that’s what this lock-down boils down to. If Lilo doesn’t want help, we can’t and shouldn’t make her, and no one should make that choice for her. By locking her down, not allowing her to leave, and limiting her access, she’s being made a prisoner and rehab is being forced on her. The first step is to admit there’s a problem and to want help; you can’t force it on someone who doesn’t want it.

  54. Pat W. Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:33 pm

That girl is dangerously sick. Lock down with strict limited contact with people from the outside is her ONLY hope of recovery. Otherwise she will kill herself and others. It’s time someone forced the issue and made sure she doesn’t have visitors for any reason. God only knows what they would bring to her. They could bring contraband to her and fill her head with all sorts of ideas that aren’t healthy……..

  55. Debbie Pead Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:37 pm

She should have been locked up in rehab LONG ago. I cannot understand why she constantly screws up her life. It’s incredibly stupid.

  56. Jason Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:38 pm

Great Idea people. Lock her up. While we are at it, lets throw all the drug addicts and users in the slammer. We can build a giant prison that houses 98 percent of the world population, including those who by from the streets and those who get prescriptions. The only people who would be free would be the extremely poor and Jehovah witnesses. THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE PEOPLE.

  57. Felice Mathews Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:42 pm

I think that she is an addict and addicted to Adderall. Its a very popular drug right now and she loves the fast life, so there you are. Cut it up and snort away. She does need to be on lock down for 3 months no doubt. Not sayin that will stop her fast life, but at least her little spoiled ass will finally suffer for some of the law breakin stuff she has gotten away with. Of course she says she has no addictions, all addicts say the same thing. Lock down is just the right punishment she needs!!!!

  58. Karen Colon Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:44 pm

She has been long over due for this. I’m glad they won’t let her go. She needs several months of intense help to kick the drugs and alcohol. She just needs to face facts that she is an addict and needs help.

  59. Susan Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:45 pm

It is about time! Way to go Betty Ford Center! She will never get well or rehab being let go to do as she pleases. Plus she has never learned in the past when they let her out in a day or two!!

  60. Michele Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:51 pm

Famous or not, putting an addict on lock down in a rehab facility is not helping that person at all. If the person doesn’t want help, nothing is going to change the fact that they are an addict, even if she remains locked down where she is, when she gets out she will continue with the same destructive behavior she went in with, unless by some great big miracle a light goes on in her head and she figures it out that living the life she is living is not what she wants anymore.

  61. ca Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 3:54 pm

i think they should just drop a 12 foot by 60 foot mobile home on the site and make her live in that without luxury. She is more or less broke and owned by the IRS, so she really need to get ready for her new lifestyle. Maybe that type of rehab will work out for her.

  64. miss tuffit Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 4:02 pm

Having worked in corrections, I can tell you that jail AND rehab are pointless…..if she doesn’t want help. I’ve seen it lots of times. You can sent someone to any lockup or lockdown facility you want to, but if they do not want to stop then they will go back to it as soon as they’re out. Money doesn’t matter, the charge doesn’t matter, nothing matters to an addict but doing whatever they have to, jumping thru any hoops they have to, just to get that next high if they don’t want to stop. Fine her and let her go…she’ll go take something or drink or smoke something and possibly die. send her to rehab or jail….she’ll get out and do the same. It’s sad but true. To treat an addict, you have to start with an addict that doesn’t want to be an addict anymore. Otherwise, you’re just waisting time and resources that someone else may be ready to accept and save themselves from misery, pain and eventually death…God help that girl see the light before she’s walking into it….

  65. Rob M RN Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 4:02 pm

  66. schribes Says:
    May 8th, 2013 at 4:05 pm

Its about time she got locked up in some way shape or form. But I guess we will see how long this lasts, I have to see it to believe it that she ends up staying in rehab the whole 90 days. All I have to say to her is this: You can’t expect a different outcome if you are going to keep going down the same dead end path. If you truly want to change your course you need to change the path.

Lindsay, perhaps you think this is a joke but eventually your luck is going to run out. We all think of what the outcome could be for you, and obviously you don’t seem to care about that, but what about the person(s) you may kill someday because you couldn’t get a clue and grow up? If you think it won’t happen to you, when you get to jail for vehicular manslaughter, ask all the others who are there for the same reason if they thought the same thing. This is tragedy just waiting to happen…not only for Lindsay, but for some innocent person who didn’t deserve to die and her most likely walking away from the accident with her damned flippant attitude intact.

going thru some of the comments,I see some people,(actually, most)are tired of hearing, reading, and talking about Lilo.well, sadly enough so am I.yet another, feels that she will wind like Anna Nicole.and that would Indeed,be tragic.one other noted how pretty she used to be.truer words were never spoken.now,my take; she looks at least 5,or 6 yrs. older and thats because she has been into every kind of trouble, bounced from one Judge to another, and has disobeyed the instructions of EVERY ONE of them!!
I hate to say this, but I hope (for her sake)the next judge she appears before,(and there will be another)will send to jail for a year.sounds harsh? perhaps.I would never advocate sending a young woman to Prison, except in this case!Because if she is not shocked into straightening out her life she in all probability WILL end up like Anna Nicole.and that would break a lot of Hearts, including mine! This Talented, young Actress truly deserves more and the Courts need to stop enabling her. she does NOT believe they will do anything to her and she’s tired doing Rehab!A couple of Days ago,her quote,”sending me to Rehab is POINTLESS!!!” I wish from the bottom of my heart she stops on her own but thats too much to hope for. I would rather see her in Jail for a little while, than see Dead FOREVER!!nuff said.

Because of the messed up Court System, this airhead has managed to get away with too much. When she served time a the jail, she was given special treatment, when the judge at the time should of made her serve her entire sentence at the main jail,in general population with the same inmates she kept from. Now that she is in treatment at Betty Ford,if she act’s up once, they should give her addition time

You can lead a horse to water but you can’t make her drink.

When it comes down to some 26-year old trying to game the system, the British found an excellent remedy. When they had enough of it, they sentenced the individual to be flogged. That generally made a sufficient impression on the person to guide then into becoming a very congenial citizen.
What do you think about that, Lindsay?

Someone at betty ford needs to get the judge, her lawyer out of her ass. They are so far up her ass that they cannot think straight. Re-hab hahaha thats a joke to her. She has done re-hab so many times look at her past better yet LOOK AT HER RAP SHEET!!!! If this was a normal person we wouldnt be discussing this right now. She needs someone to put a stiff boot up her ass sideways to get it through her skanky druggy drunked ass. Plus the only thing that would help her is prison time. But noooo no one has the balls to do this. The CA court system should be investigated for poor practices. Folks this is why the lady of justice has her eyes covered up. She will leave betty ford and blame it on someone as to why she cannot finish her lockdown. If i was the judge i would tell her that you either do re-hab or do the rest in prison. Of course this 90 day crap would be extended for 1-1.5 years.

Lindsy will not be able to do the thing on her own. I only need 1 month with her and you will see that we dont need rehabilitation centers because they never helped the people. Look at what happened to Whitney Houston. JUST ONE MONTH and she will sing another song. I am sick and tired of people encouraging her in her wrong ways and bad mouthing her instead of helping her on how to do the right thing. JUST ONE MONTH.

I will be saddened but not surprised to read the news that Lindsay hasn’t made it. Obviously, if she is complaining before completing a week, she’ll find a way to leave and get hold of some Adderall before the end of May. With that, she’ll probably just tell herself how clever she is and go steal some booze, which she will drink until her brain stops. The girl seemingly doesn’t want any help, and my opinion is she doesn’t deserve it.

I can’t wait until the day I can read the headline: “LILO found DEAD;Apparent Suicide”
Then we won’t have to hear about this scumbag loser anymore. She doesn’t deserve not one iota of attention.

They need to lock up the judge that keeps being so lenient with her.
