Did Mariah Carey Drop Randy Jackson As Her Manager?

May 09, 2013 03:00 PM by Megan Thompson

Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more awkward between the American Idol judge’s  this year – it does!  Sources are confirming that Mariah Carey has dropped fellow AI judge, Randy Jackson as her manager. Leaving Randy asking  – what’s up dawg?

This season of American Idol is sure full of drama! Usually it’s the contestants causing the drama, but this year the judges are providing a ton of headlines.  Mariah and Randy have been working together for more than 20 years, since Randy started at Columbia Records.

So what caused the split? A source told E! News that “things are fine between them and they’ll continue to work together, but not with Jackson as a manager.”  Neither Mariah Carey nor her rep have responded to the rumors that she is dropping Randy and heading to Red Light Management.

It doesn’t help that there are also rumors that all four of the American Idol judges will be fired after this season.  It seems the ratings are at an all-time low, only 11 million tuned into watch last Thursday’s show.

What do you think about all this American Idol drama?  Is there anyone you would like to see sitting at the judge’s table next year? Let us know your thoughts, leave us a comment below.

The show this year was certainly contrived to
Ensure a female winner. The judges are terrible
And the songs selected by the show forth
The contestants were geared to whom the
    Producers wanted to won.

I love American Idol, my whole family tunes in every week. I really don’t know who I’d like to see as new judges, but I hate to see the show go.Did not like Nicki, this year. But I thought Keith was great.
