Lindsay Lohan Wants Out Of Betty Ford Center

May 12, 2013 10:32 AM by Donna W. Martin

Recently, we learned that Punk’d star, Lindsay Lohan had checked into the Betty Ford Center where she would undergo a 90-day court ordered rehab treatment plan. And get this…she was still taking Adderall. But that’s changed and now Lohan wants out! Keep reading for more details.

Lohan was allowed to take Adderall for a while after she checked into the Betty Ford Center. Why? Because she had a prescription for the drug and was supposedly taking it to combat symptoms of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

According to the New York Post, doctors at Betty Ford have decided to take Lohan off the addictive drug Adderall and plan to treat her ADHD with a non-addictive alternative. But the change in medication has not set well with the “Mean Girls” star and Lohan wants out of the Betty Ford Center because of it.

Just before entering rehab, Lohan spoke to Piers Morgan. “I’ve been court-ordered to do it six times…I could write the book on rehab,” she said. “Constantly sending me to rehab is pointless…it’s like a joke.” Will she ever learn? It’s doubtful!

We’ll have to wait to see what Los Angeles Superior Court Judge, James Dabney thinks of Lohan’s plan to leave Betty Ford. Will he allow her to change facilities? Let’s hope not.

What do you think of Lohan’s predicament? Do you think she will be able to weasel her way out of the Betty Ford Center and into a facility that will allow her to take Adderall? Should she be allowed to leave? Or do you think she should be forced to stay where she is and serve out her 90-day rehab sentence without her beloved Adderall? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it so sound off in the comments section below and tell us all about it!

That is a horrible decision made by the physicians attending to her at the Betty Ford Clinic. One thing at a time. These Rehabs are disgusting money grubbing dens of pollute that behave in this manner. Lindsay should be treated for her drug addiction/alcoholism (whatever she is abusing) first and her behavioral emotional issues. By all means keep prescribing the Adderall even if she is dependent on it. The rehabs in operation for the most part set the patient up for failure by attempting to remove all their meds at once, rather than in a slow, gradual weaning process. After Lindsay completes her stay at the Betty Ford, then the idea of weaning her off the Adderall should be introduced and only then. That is why rehab encourages the patient not to quit smoking during the time period they are being treated for their addiction. It’s too much for a patient to endure when they remove everything all at once. This institution is going to be responsible for her failure at rehab which may lead to her death. I hope her attorneys are taking note of this situation. On a side note, I don’t want to include all rehab institutes in my general sweeping statement. There are clinics that do have treatment plans that are creative and conducive to success and they should be recognized for their great efforts.

They should insist that Lindsay stay at the Betty
Ford Center until her 90 days are completed She needs help even if she does not want it.

Let her do rehab in jail. No option to get out. Many addicts withdraw in jail and attend group sessions to help understand their addictions. This girl has yet to truly get the help she needs… she needs lockdown to get it.

Adderall is like having 3 cups of coffee. Your brain is clear and you have a burst of energy.

Detoxing off of Adderall is nothing like detoxing off heroin.

Even detoxing off pain pills is like having the flu for 5 days then you feel better.

Edict B. Farnsworth, not sure you know what you are talking about.
