This week on the American Idol finale, Candice Glover was crowned the season 12 winner, over Kree Harrison. Although she is still trying to process everything, Candice recently dished on her win, and on Nicki Minaj, who Glover admits, would love to do a collaboration with in the future!
Candice Glover walked away as the season 12 winner of American Idol this week, and while she is still in shock, she is also thinking about her future. And in that future we may see a collaboration with none other than Nicki Minaj – that is, if Candice has anything to say about it.
Speaking with reporters after her win, Glover had nothing but wonderful things to say about Minaj, as she gushed that after the show: “Nicki said, ‘You’re a superstar, can I hug you?’ Then she reminded me to not be a diva. She always tells me to have fun and be myself. I love Nicki and hope I can collaborate with her.” Whether or not Minaj will agree to a collaboration is unknown. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
As for her big win, Candice credits it to her determination. In fact, Glover almost did not audition this time around. After 2 prior attempts to get on the show, she was left wondering if she should even bother, but eventually the determination kicked in making the third time a charm for her. Moral of the story – don’t ever give up on your dreams!
