Chris Brown Hit-And-Run Investigation Under Way

May 27, 2013 11:08 AM by Stephanie Gustafson

Chris Brown is once again in big, big trouble, but this time, it has nothing to do with his treatment of ex-girlfriend and X Factor guest Rihanna. Instead, the singer is catching heat for his response to a car accident that took place earlier this week. Turns out, the situation is a lot more serious than what was initially suspected.

Earlier this week, a supposed fender bender launched gossip about Chris Brown’s love life — mainly because, in the aftermath of the accident, onlookers noticed Karrueche Tran at the singer’s side. The two are thought to have resumed their relationship shortly following the highly-publicized breakup between Chris and Rihanna.

Now though, the focus is on the accident itself, which apparently has the potential to land the celebrity in prison. Recently dubbed the Chris Brown hit-and-run by TMZ, the interaction between Chris and the woman whose car he hit seems to have been less than congenial. Not only is the celebrity thought to have refused to give out the number on his driver’s license, the latest gossip suggests that he may have actually provided the woman with false insurance information.

All this is bad enough, but add the fact that Chris is still on probation for beating up Rihanna several years back and you have a potential disaster. If the rumors are true, there’s a good chance that Chris Brown’s behavior would be classified as a hit-and-run crime, meaning that he could easily be hauled in to prison for violating the terms of his probation.

Do you think a Chris Brown hit-and-run seems likely? Feel free to share your predictions on the latest Chris Brown drama in the comments section below!

Shut up, that situation with Rihanna happened YEARS ago, so get the fuck over it. Just forgive him about that, let the past be the past and stfu! I am a HUGE Chris Brown fan, and if u got a problem with that..i could care less. I dont think it was a hit-and-run crime tbh, its an accident. So please dont haul him off to prison! #Breezy♥

Throw him in jail, and don’t let his money buy him his freedom. if it was you or me guess where we would be after any of his antics.

I don’t think this qualifies as “Hit & Run”, he stopped. This is more like providing false/misleading information, which could also have repercussions.

This guy is obviously a punk and has issues dealing with women. I don’t know why anyone buys his music or why the community has anything to do with him. I hope he does go to jail…maybe it will show him what it’s like to be beaten up and treated with no respect. Let him try roughing up some men for a change.

Everything Chris Brown does is ratcheted up 10 times. Did they send Lindsey Lohan to Jail? What happened with Mel Gibson? He cussed the cops out, knocked his girlfriends teeth out and did not spend one day in Jail. It was a fender bender, nothing to see here. He is not the first to give out false information and won’t be the last. Get a Life People!

You are so so so so right John, put his UGLY behind in jail. My father always said ,if a man hits you once, he will hit you again. He thinks he’s above the law. Put him in “HARD LABOR PRISON”

He’s guilty of not cooperating and exchanging info, but how could it be called a hit-and-run given the info in this article? Why does the media have to go to the extremes? Just report the darn facts and move on. I don’t want a soap-opera!

You “reporters” are so damn annoying with the Chris Brown/Rihanna talk. That happened years ago. Give it a rest. Write the story that he was in a car accident. Was Rihanna there? NO!! So why bring her into it.

give me a break !!!!…This guy should be in jail for what he’s done to women, but he isn’t going to jail for the hit-and-run,like the rest of us would if we violated probation…This is the U.S.of A….where millionaire rap singers get treated a LOT different than the normal person….He’ll just buy his way out of it,like the singers, movie stars, sports figures do all the time.

I never understand why celebrities EVER drive. They make enough money that they can afford a driver. That being said, hubris has been the downfall of many and I do believe it will be Chris Brown’s undoing. I think this is his OJ moment. He got away with the Rihanna thing, this time he will pay.

  22. Debbie Says:
    May 27th, 2013 at 2:30 pm

He’s a thug who thinks he can get away w/ bad behavior. Pull his pants up and throw him in prison.

  23. Maria Says:
    May 27th, 2013 at 2:32 pm

chris shouldn’t have this accident as a hit-and-run but since he didn’t give out his driver’s license number because who the hell remembers their driver’s license in stays in your wallet duh but his license should be suspended

This is a very good talent young man but with no moral or good personality. Money and fame have really gone beyond his head. He should serve time for his attitude and need help. He got a life ahead of him and if he continue the way he is heading, I wonder “how long”?

  30. Jhade Parker Says:

Leave Him alone plenty of people who do this all the time. Only reason hating on him is because he is a celebrity. I don’t think he would do this simply because he probably could buy this woman a new car.

  31. Sheila Says:
    May 27th, 2013 at 4:09 pm

Since I don’t know all the details of what happened, I can’t say whether he belongs in jail or not. IF he is indeed guilty, he definitely belongs there. I, for one am sick and tired of these smart a$$es getting away with everything, and only a slap on the wrist to show for it!

  32. Yvonne C. Henderson Says:

Why do a few celebrities feel they are “entitled” to break the law, bend the law because they have $$$$$. It seems that some coming to sudden wealth, with an entourage of posterior kissers, feel invincible. Let the laws apply the same for everyone, no special treatment or “country club” facilities.

He’s a celebrity….he’ll get off…again and again and again and so on and so on. I think it’s time that the rich and famous stop getting privileges the average person would not get. If he violated the terms then he should be held accountable PERIOD! Do the crime, do the time.

OMG – I heard so much hate in my life. I am sure that there are women beaters out there and because Chris is in the limelight – we want to hang him for something that took place two years ago. Rihanna evidently forgave him, and I guess we should too. We are so quick to judge other people but have you looked in your closet????? What about prayer and what would Jesus do, I am sure you have had to ask for forgiveness. Let’s stop the madness.
