It may seem hard to believe, but there was a time before Fashion Star mentor Jessica Simpson was a household name. But even then, the singer and actress showed a penchant for the performing arts, as was made clear the other day with the upload of a fascinating Throwback Thursday video.
Like a surprising number of today’s biggest celebrities, Jessica Simpson got her start in a simple high school production. In Jessica’s case, the big debut occurred during a performance of A Chorus Line, during which the budding star sang The Music And The Mirror while dressed in a red leotard.
Many of us who have had the misfortune to stumble upon videos of our high school performances would be too embarrassed of our lack of skill to post the videos of said performances online for the world to see. But this is the not the case with Jessica Simpson, and with good reason; even as a high school student, Jess possessed an impressive set of pipes! She decided to use the old Chorus Line video to join in on the Throwback Thursday trend, tweeting, “The ultimate #tbt.”
The response to Jessica Simpson’s Throwback Thursday post was overwhelmingly positive, with many Twitter followers complimenting the celeb on her early talent. Many Twitter fans encouraged Jessica to post additional high school videos in the future, as they truly enjoyed witnessing the star before she made it big.
