Bruno Mars has frequently spoken of his gratitude for his mother. Sadly, the former Voice guest star was forced to say goodbye to his mom far too soon, as the 55-year-old recently died from a brain aneurysm. This tragedy comes at a particularly difficult time, in light of the soon-to-be released WeTV reality series featuring Bruno’s four sisters.
It’s been a tough few days for hit singer Bruno Mars. Bernadette Hernandez, best known as Bruno’s loving mother, died this weekend of a brain aneurysm. She was only 55 years old. Little else about the tragedy is known, other than the fact that it took place at the Queens Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. Even this information was hard to come by, with it only released as a result of an Associated Press representative speaking on the condition of anonymity.
Bruno Mars has yet to comment on the passing of his mother, but we’re sure he’s currently in mourning. The singer was very close to his mom, in part, due to her willingness to nurture his musical talents from a young age. In addition to encouraging musical expression in her son, Bernadette also fostered it in her daughters, the four of whom were recently announced as part of a new reality series on WeTV. Whether the death of Bernadette Hernandez will have any impact on either the new reality show or Bruno’s current concert schedule remains unknown.
This must be a very difficult time for both Bruno and his sisters. Our thoughts and prayers are with the entirety of this talented family as they mourn the loss of a very special woman.
