Robin’s Thicke’s new single Blurred Lines might be in the midst of an impressive showing on Billboard, but that’s not stopping the Duets judge from promoting his latest hit. The other night, he was joined by American Idol alum Leah LaBelle, as well as Miley Cyrus and Pharrell Williams for a unique rendition of the chart topper.
Were you surprised and impressed by the quality of Robin Thicke’s recently released single? Given his mediocre performance on the charts in the last several years, few were expecting Blurred Lines to be the sensation that is currently blowing away all competition. But, as annoying as he can be while judging on Duets, Blurred Lines has forced us to acknowledge that the singer possesses some modicum of talent.
Robin showed off that previously hidden talent on Jimmy Kimmel last night, where a recent rendition of Blurred Lines was aired for the audience’s enjoyment. This was not exactly the Blurred Lines you may have heard on the radio or downloaded on iTunes; in addition to Robin Thicke’s vocals, it included contributions from Miley Cyrus, Leah LaBelle and Pharrell Williams. Unfortunately, T.I. was not present for the performance, but the other guest stars more than made up for his absence. Even Miley was at her best, which, we’re amazed to say, is way better than we expected.
