Christina Aguilera has definitely been busy during her time away from The Voice. Not only has the singer been promoting her latest album, she’s also put quite a bit of effort into getting healthy. And that effort paid off — Christina’s toned physique impressed viewers during last night’s Voice season finale!
In past seasons of The Voice, Christina Aguilera was attacked mercilessly for her weight and rather skimpy apparel. This appears to no longer be the case, for, in the aftermath of her performance at last night’s finale, Christina is receiving plenty of praise for her slimmer physique. Joining Pitbull for a live rendition of hit single Feel This Moment, Christina returned to The Voice stage in a black pencil skirt, sheer top and hot pink bra. It’s the type of skin-baring outfit that would have garnered a ton of criticism in the past, but, given her currently toned figure, is instead being complimented across the board.
Included among the legions of fans who approve of Christina’s look is fellow judge Blake Shelton. The singer and reality star made a point of complimenting Christina’s appearance, commenting, “How cool was that seeing Christina tonight? She looks amazing, by the way.” Popular stylist Simone Harrouche agrees with Blake, explaining, “She’s really into dresses that highlight her decolletage and her waist. She’s showing off her amazing figure.”
While the response to Christina’s new look has been largely positive, a few Twitter followers have questioned why the singer felt the need to highlight her weight loss despite the fact that she had earlier claimed to be happy with appearance in spite of the extra pounds. Critics feel that her choice of apparel sends a mixed message. Do you agree? Feel free to share your opinion in the comments section below!
