Paula Deen May Be Getting Axed From QVC As Well

June 24, 2013 01:27 PM by Lisa Princ

Ugh, the news just keeping worse for Paula Deen y’all. We learned recently that our favorite southern belle was fired by Food Network, and now, rumor has it that the Who Do You Think You Are alum is about to be axed by QVC as well. Someone say it isn’t so!

Seriously? We get it that Paula Deen has used racial slurs, but at least she admitted to it and apologized. Certainly there are many celebrities who have done the same without admitting to it.  And now, if things were not bad enough for Deen, who was recently fired from Food Network, where her shows have been airing for the last ten years, they are about to get worse!

How? Well, according to TMZ, Paula may also be losing her deal with QVC. A rep for QVC told TMZ that the network has concerns about the controversy surrounding Deen, and added: “QVC does not tolerate discriminatory behavior.” While the QVC rep did not say that Deen would be axed for certain, they did state: “We are closely monitoring these events and we are reviewing our business relationship with Ms. Deen. In the meantime, we have no immediate plans to have her appear on QVC.”

In other words, if you’ve been thinking about buying something from Paula Deen’s line, you better do it now. This whole thing just seems a little too blown out of proportion, don’t you think?

What do you think about Paula Deen using racial slurs? Do you think Food Network was too hard on her by firing her? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it. Sound off in the comments section below!

Paula Deen has apologized whether people think it’s sincere or not, it was done. That’s more than the average person does. It doesn’t change the value of her products or videos. I’d buy them in a minute. Better make sure there is water in the pool before you jump in with everyone else that wants to disassociate her from their business. I have a feeling there are going to be a lot of apologies to her in the end. And by the way all these accusations have come by someone I’m sure is trying to get a bigger piece of the pie from her. I doubt it’s as bad as it’s being built up to be. Wonder how many times this person has used the Lord’s name in vain. That is offensive to me, but I wouldn’t take her to court to extort money. Sad times we are living in.
