Big Brother Contestants Fired From Jobs After Making Offensive Comments On Show

July 04, 2013 05:08 AM by Lisa Princ

While most of the Big Brother house guests are getting settled into the new season, others are already getting in trouble! A few days ago, we told you about the racial slurs and offensive comments being thrown around the house – well guess what? Two contestants have been fired from their real jobs over the remarks!

Big Brother 15 has already proved to have its fair share of controversial contestants. Two of those include GinaMarie Zimmerman and Aaryn Gries, both of whom have been tossing around racial slurs and homophobic comments while the live feeds have been rolling. Now, both women have to pay the price for their comments as they’ve both been fired from their jobs.

GinaMarie, who worked as a coordinator with East Coast USA Pageant, Inc. was recently snagged referring to welfare as “N****r insurance,” and it cost her that very position. “We have never known this side of GinaMarie or have ever witnessed such acts of racism in the past. We are actually thankful that this show let us see GinaMarie for who she truly is,” the company told TMZ revealing that GinaMarie has been fired.

Meanwhile, Aaryn, who works for a modeling agency, was also fired for her racial and anti-gay comments that were revealed over the live feeds. The agency told TMZ: “Aaryn, season 15 cast member of Big Brother, revealed prejudices and other beliefs that we (Zephyr Talent) do not condone,” explaining that Aaryn has been let go from the company.

Is anyone else excited to see that these offensive ladies got what was coming to them? Too bad they can’t be dropped from the show. In response to the comments, CBS released the following statement:

“Big Brother is a reality show about watching a group of people who have no privacy 24/7 — and seeing every moment of their lives. At times, the Houseguests reveal prejudices and other beliefs that we do not condone. We certainly find the statements made by several of the Houseguests on the live Internet feed to be offensive. Any views or opinions expressed in personal commentary by a Houseguest appearing on Big Brother, either on any live feed from the House or during the broadcast, are those of the individual(s) speaking and do not represent the views or opinions of CBS or the producers of the program.”

What do you think of GinaMarie and Aaryn’s comments? Have you tuned in to Big Brother 15? What do you think of the new season so far? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it! Comment below to share your thoughts with us.

I also agree that they both should be kicked off the show. Aaryn act like David was her long lost love. For goodness sakes they just met. Some of these girls act like real sluts.

I also agree that they both should be kicked off the show. Aaryn act like David was her long lost love. For goodness sakes they just met. Some of these girls are way too fast for their own good

What is amaing to me is how fast the sponsers pulled out from Paula Deen for a comment she made 18 years ago, but are doing nothing now for all he comments made on BB15. They need to tell these girs to shut up or go home!

Kick them off the show for expressing their opinion? Heck no. That’s how they feel. There is no law against them speaking from their heart and mind. This is a television show people. Don’t like the language, change the channel!

I think that they should be kicked off as well. They should not have the privilege to play for 1/2 a million $. As far as that goes no extra prizes that are given throughout the summer. I believe if one of them make it to the end and win that CBS is really going to have a problem on their hands. Also the girls will have this money to live off of and not really care that they are jobless. What is really sad is that not only are these girls making all these racial slurs, but they are (at least Aayrn) denies saying any of it and knows that there are cameras in the house. I would love to be a fly on the wall when she gets out of the house and is asked about the things that she has said and she responds with, “I did not say that”. Roll the tape- would love to see her reaction!!!

I have watched big brother from the beginning. One thing I know for sure, the person that wins will be worthy of the win so I am sure the racist contestants days are numbered because they are not focused on the game, they are self absorbed, arrogant and hungry for personal recognition. I find the racist guest interesting because ignorance is always entertaining yet it is also sad that Aaryn and Ginamarie does not have a clue that their comments are offensive to people of color and people that are mentally and physically challenged. It makes me sad for them, how shallow their existance must be. They have definitely made a name for themselves. I stopped watching.

Why is it that when a white person has something to say about another race they are fired and people say that they are wrong, but it is ok for others races to run us down. People are different and we are not all the same or we are not always going to get along. Grow up and get over it eberyone is entitled to their oppinion and has freedom of speech.

I would have loved to have seen Aaryn and GinaMaria kicked off the show for their racist comments; however, I knew Big Brother wouldn’t do that because they love the buzz it’s generated. Short of that, I’d love to be a fly on the wall when they learn they’ve been fired from their jobs.

I can’t stand Aaryn. She is a stupid, racist girl who needs to go home. I also don’t like how Helen, who I once thought of as one of my favorites, is supporting her after she said racist comments about her. I am so glad to hear that both Aaryn and GinaMaria have been fired. As an African American, I find their language offensive, but I love Big Brother and I respect the game so I don’t want then to be kicked off the show. By the way, Alyssa is my favorite character and I hope she goes all the way!!!!!!!!!!

I really appreciate the fact that they got fired. It shows that this kind of behavior will not be tolerated from anyone. I’m Hispanic, so nothing was said against my race, but I’m still a minority and I really can’t stand racist people. Anyway, about the game now, I’m not liking this season. Most of my favorite people were eliminated and the one of the only people I used to cheer for, Helen, is still there and watching her behavior on the show, I really really want her to go home. She says she’s not running the house, but truly, she is….

Truthfully, this type of revealing behavior is exactly to be expected whenever you stack the deck the way that Big Brother does. I truly wish that there was sufficient experimentation that the fortunes would be reversed–an overwhelming number of minorities, with just a few Caucasians sprinkled in, so as to be able to claim that there isn’t a racist factor involved. This show truly reflects our “United” states, from slavery days to the present, in that there are no real repercussions for the disgusting behavior of Aaryn & GinaMarie. Had Candice slapped the taste out of GinaMarie’s mouth, as she deserved, Candice would have suffered immediately for her reaction, but, in this “christian” nation of ours, Caucasians are always given the benefit of the doubt, when the offended is only “one of them”. The reactions of her fellow Caucasian house-guests is typical of how America really responds to trash like those two. While a couple did appear to be truly offended, it was only Elissa, in fact, who was offended to her core, and, refused to blow it off, move on past it. In America, you can be the pastor of a church, and, as long as you don’t offend White folks, you’re still considered to be a “godly” person, worthy of going to heaven, when your time is up.
Fortunately, Aaryn & GinaMarie showed their true colors on a national stage, where it couldn’t be swept under the rug, and made light of, to where their employers couldn’t just ignore their true natures, and, to maintain a respectable image, free of the taint that those two bring with them, punitive actions were taken.
The only thing that I could wish upon those two would be for them to get stranded in South Central or Compton, because, not only would they be scared to death, and, afraid to ask for help, but, when they actually did receive some assistance, it would most likely come from one of “us others”, who they truly look down upon & discriminate against. May life’s lessons bring about true changes in the hearts of these two, because, it’s only GOD who can.
