Most of the latest news surrounding Stacy Keibler has revolved around her recent breakup with boyfriend of two years George Clooney. But that’s certainly not the only thing taking place in the Dancing With The Stars alum’s life. Stacy recently was courted for the job of host on Lifetime’s Supermarket Superstar — and the premiere is set to air in under two weeks!
Fans of Stacy Keibler are in luck — the celeb is about to show up on a hot new reality show covering the ins and outs of the food industry. And this is not your typical food show. Supermarket Superstar will demonstrate exactly what it takes to develop a great food brand and market it to the masses.
The basic setup of Supermarket Superstar is as follows: home chefs with dreams of making it in the food industry must pitch their ideas to major corporations and then prepare those products for mass consumption. Along the way, they are helped out by such big names as Debbi Fields of Mrs. Fields Cookies and popular television host Michael Chiarello. Those who survive through this process will then be tasked with creating appropriate packaging before presenting the finished product to prominent supermarket buyer Tom Dahlen. The champion wins $10,000 in prize money, plus an additional $100,000 for further product development. Not bad!
Stacy Keibler was super excited to be involved in the filming of Supermarket Superstar. And although her participation in the series led to such experiences as eating crickets, Stacy’s still glad to have been a part of this innovative new reality show. She explains, “It’s about giving someone all the tools they need to transform their dream into a reality.”
