Selena Gomez Celebrates 21st Birthday With Jay Leno

July 24, 2013 04:02 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

The birthday festivities continue for Selena Gomez, who recently hit the big two-one. The former Dancing With The Stars guest showed up at The Tonight Show With Jay Leno to party it up and to chat about…partying it up!

Selena Gomez and wild birthday parties just don’t seem to go together, perhaps because the star still looks so much like she did in the early days of Wizards Of Waverly Place. But she is officially legal now, which means she can drink alcohol until the break of dawn if she so chooses.

Based on last night’s interview with Jay Leno, drinking is exactly what Selena chose to do on her 21st birthday which means, in spite of her crazy career, she’s still a lot like your typical twenty something. She admitted that her very first drink as a legal adult was a shot of whiskey, and, when questioned further, confessed to consuming more than one shot. The following day, Selena said she was feeling a bit hungover but that it was all worth it — she had a lot of fun at her big bash.

Of course, one party isn’t enough for the likes of Selena Gomez, which is why the celeb is planning yet another party for July 27th. And this Selena Gomez birthday party will be themed! As the singer explained to Jay Leno, “The party’s going to be kind of a gypsy theme…We’re gonna have skirts and tattoos and belly dancers. It’ll be kind of the whole thing, It’ll be fun.”

Some critics allege that all this partying and talk of partying is a bad idea for a star who still primarily markets to a teen and preteen crowd. Do you agree? Leave a comment and let us know!
