We already knew that America’s Got Talent judge and Project Runway host Heidi Klum was fond of topless photos, but until now, we never thought to question the identity of her photographer. Turns out, the person behind the camera is…Heidi’s mom!
Heidi Klum recently received quite a bit of attention for a topless photo she posted to her Instagram page. In the picture, she’s hugging a palm tree, with her arms perfectly positioned for just the slightest amount of boob coverage. Of course, the lack of bikini top is not mentioned in the photo’s caption, which instead states, “Last day in paradise. Love Bora Bora!!”
Given Heidi Klum’s presence front and center in her Instagram post, we hadn’t given much thought to the identity of the person taking the photo. As such, we were a bit surprised to learn that the picture was taken by none other than Heidi’s mother! Chatting with Extra, Heidi explained, “The photographer was my mom. I took the same photo of my mom. She was wearing a bathing suit.”
Although this topless photo (and others) have garnered a small amount of controversy, Heidi doesn’t really think topless photos are that big of a deal. She told Extra that she “grew up…running around topless. And I still do.” In past interviews, the model has also admitted to growing up in a very open-minded family, in which nudity was not viewed as cause for alarm. That being said, Heidi insists that she and her parents are not hippies, nor are they interested in being nude at all times.
