Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy Juvonen recently welcomed a daughter into their family. And in typical late night host fashion, the former Top Chef guest judge and proud father waited until broadcast time to reveal the name of his adorable baby girl.
We’ve seen Jimmy Fallon super excited about plenty of big announcements in the past — particularly that of a certain Ben and Jerry’s ‘Late Night Snack’ ice cream — but it would be impossible for him to match the fervor displayed just prior to the big reveal surrounding his daughter’s name. The late night host had a huge smile on his face when he told the audience, “I’m the father of a beautiful baby girl. Her name is Winnie Rose Fallon and she’s so cute.”
Despite his massive grin, Jimmy insisted that he was “emotionally drained,” explaining, “It feels like I’ve had a four day conference. It’s very taxing on the fathers. I don’t know how it is for the mothers, but very taxing.” Fortunately, despite the “taxing” nature of fatherhood, Jimmy has found plenty of support among his many fans. The host made a point of thanking his impressive following for all the kind messages on Facebook and Twitter.
Of course, the birth of Jimmy Fallon’s daughter has been overshadowed just a bit by that of Kate and Will’s first child. But Jimmy told the audience that the lack of media attention was no big deal. In fact, he’s already planning for Winnie and George to be best buds, for, as he promised, “Yes, William and Kate, we will definitely set up a play date.”
We’d like to extend a hearty congrats to Jimmy Fallon and Nancy Juvonen on the birth of Winnie Rose!
