Last week, Nicki Minaj was presented with an offer of marriage by DJ Khaled, a man she has worked with, but never actually dated. As the world waits to hear what the former American Idol judge has to say about the proposal, rumors began to circulate that instead she slapped Khaled with a restraining order, but now we’ve learned that is not true either.
Earlier, a site called Hiphop365 claimed that Nicki Minaj filed a restraining order against DJ Khaled after his odd marriage proposal last week. However, it turns out that was not true. “Y’all know better than that they don’t put restraining orders on bosses,” Khaled tweeted yesterday, but of course, fans were still skeptical. I mean, he did propose to her after all.
But it appears that Khaled was not lying. According to Hollywood Life, they have confirmed with the New York Police that no legal action was taken against Khaled by Minaj. Meanwhile, Minaj has yet to respond to the proposal by Khaled, or even comment on the subject.
Many are speculating that it was nothing more than a publicity stunt, and Khaled insists that the proposal is real. “I was serious. She can take her time and think about it. At least she knows how I feel now,” Khaled told US Weekly.
This whole thing is just strange, but it kind of fits Nicki, don’t you think?
