It’s been almost one month since Country music crooner Randy Travis was hospitalized for heart troubles, suffered a stroke, and underwent emergency surgery. While we have all been praying for the ailing singer, it appears that Travis is doing much better. In fact, the American Idol guest star has been officially discharged from the hospital!
Nearly one month after Randy Travis’ hospital stay began, the Country crooner has finally been discharged. On the singer’s website, a new update reads: “Randy Travis has been discharged from Baylor Heart in Plano, Texas. Mr. Travis has been relocated to a physical therapy facility.” The 54-year-old suffered from a severe case of cardiomyopathy, followed by a stroke, which left him needing emergency surgery to relieve pressure from his brain in July.
Randy Travis’ fiancee, Mary Davis also left a message for fans and supporters as she said in a statement: “Thanks to all the fans and friends for your continued prayers and support as Randy continues on the road to recovery.” Travis, who has a family history of heart issues, still has a long road to recovery, so it could very well be months before Travis is anywhere close to being back to normal. Luckily for Randy, it sounds like he has a great support system and seems as though he is getting excellent care.
We wish Randy Travis an easy and speedy recovery!
