Last week on The Bachelorette, we were all left wondering if Desiree Hartsock would get her fairy tale ending after Brooks walked out on her. Last night, the finale concluded, and we’re happy to report that Desiree did indeed get her happy ending, but with who?
Desiree Hartsock was left with a broken heart last week on the start of The Bachelorette finale, and she was even having doubts about sticking around after Brooks walked out on her. But, was she really in love with him or just blindsided? Apparently, she was just shaken up, as she did indeed decide to carry on with Drew and Chris last night, asking that they both be completely honest with her before giving them the final two roses. Before taking the guys home to meet her family, Des decided she needed one more date with each of them first – perhaps to get the whole Brooks ordeal out of her head?
In any event, the extra date did not go as planned for Drew, who Des decided to send home, admitting there was something “missing” between them. By this point, we were all waiting for Brooks to show up again, but it didn’t happen. Instead, Desiree took Chris home to meet her family, and even her brother Nate (the one who did not approve of Sean Lowe) approved of Chris! Yeah, we’re guessing that was the shocker the producers were talking about. Des then managed to convince herself that all along it’s been Chris, but she was so wrapped up with Brooks that she failed to see it.
However, when Chris tries to propose, Des tells him that she needs to be completely honest with him. She tells him about the heartache from Brooks, and how she was so blindsided by her feelings for Brooks, that she failed to see that Chris was all she ever needed! Chris got down on one knee and proposed, and of course, Desiree said yes. There you have it, folks! Brooks did not come back, and the spoilers were all wrong!
What do you think of Desiree Hartsock ending up with Chris? Did she make the right decision? Or should she have walked away from both guys? It’s your turn to sound off! Comment below to share your thoughts with us.
