It’s hard to believe that it has been about 18 months since Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room, and today, the legendary singer would have been 50 years old. In honor of the late singer and former Being Bobby Brown co-star’s birthday, Sirius XM is celebrating her life by playing her tunes all day long!
Wow, has it really been nearly 18 months since Whitney Houston passed away? It certainly has flown by, and sadly, the singer would have been 50 years old today. While some are mourning the star on her birthday, Sirius XM has decided to honor the late singer by devoting an entire day to Houston’s music.
Sirius XM announced that their Heart & Soul channel, which normally plays R&B music of today and those of the past, will be spending the next day celebrating the music of Whitney Houston. Celebration of a Lifetime Whitney Houston’s 50th started airing this morning, August 9 at 9:00 am ET and will continue to Saturday, August 10 at 3:00 am ET on channel 48. If you don’t have Sirius XM in your vehicle, you can also tune in on their smartphone application, or online at Sirius XM.
This is not the first time the popular satellite radio honored the star. Back in February 2012, they launched a Whitney Houston Tribute Channel to commemorate Houston’s life and music after her tragic death.
How are you celebrating Whitney Houston on what would have been the singer’s 50th birthday? Will you tune into Sirius XM for a day of Houston’s music? We know you have an opinion, and we want to hear it! Comment below to share your thoughts with us!
