Paula Deen Wins The Racial Discrimination Lawsuit

August 13, 2013 07:50 AM by Lisa Princ

Remember that lawsuit that Paula Deen was hit with recently? You know, the one that cost the southern chef her job with Food Network as well as many other deals and endorsements? Well, guess what? The Who Do You Think You Are alum had her day in court, and she won!

After all the recent controversy surrounding Paula Deen and use of a racial slur, something close to 30 years ago, Paula finally had her day in court. And after all the nonsense Paula has been through, she finally got a break because she won the lawsuit! In fact, the judge ruled that Lisa Jackson, the woman who filed the suit, had no right to claim racial discrimination, because she’s white!

According to TMZ, Jackson tried to argue that some of her family are bi-racial, but the judge told her she was nothing more than an “accidental victim” at best. In layman’s terms, she likely made the entire story up. This is the same racial slur that cost Paula Deen her job with Food Network as well as many other deals. At least she had the last laugh by winning lawsuit, especially since she has been through so much as it is. Now, we can’t help but wonder if Food Network (as well as the other companies that booted her) are kicking themselves in the arse end?

What do you think about the Paula Deen lawsuit? Are you thrilled that she won? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it. Sound off in the comments section below!

I’m glad to find out that the allegations may have been false. I’ve always been a fan of hers, as well as her sons. ————— Now, to address @Jewelena… Would be nice if people could just get over that point. YES, it is okay for ignorant black people to use the “n” word. And, NO it’s NOT okay for white people to use it, ignorant or not. Just like, as women, we don’t want to hear ANY man use the “b” word. It’s a bad word no matter what. But, the argument about “why can they use it and not us” is old an tired. Bottom line: Why do you want to use it so badly??? This question goes out to Jewelena, whites, blacks and all other People of Color.

I am African American woman and I do not use the “N” word and neither do I think it’s ok for anyone to use that word. Anyone that uses such word just shows how ignorant and how low their vocabulary is. I am happy that Paula Deen won her suit and I feel that justice was served because that destroyed her career and have had a huge impact on her personal life. when people do things they don’t look or care about the outcome and they should. I personally love her and have and will continue to purchase her products..
