Jase Robertson and his bearded brethren might have convinced nearly twelve million viewers to tune in for season four premiere of Duck Dynasty, but they have yet to reach Kardashian reality status, as was proven in an incident Jace refers to as “facial profiling.”
In modern society, sporting a ton of facial hair is, on occasion, going to draw some suspicion from less follically gifted individuals. Such was the case during Duck Dynasty star Jase Robertson’s recent visit to a fancy New York hotel. Jase, along with the rest of the Duck Dynasty cast, has been spending the week in the Big Apple, promoting the launch of the show’s fourth season. But, as one might expect, the beloved rednecks look a bit out of place in the big city. And that’s resulted in a few minor inconveniences.
As he explained during an appearance on Live With Kelly & Michael, Jase managed to catch the attention of one slightly disgruntled hotel employee earlier this week. “I asked where the bathroom was and he said, ‘Right this way, sir.’ He walked me outside, pointed down the road and said, ‘Good luck.’”
Of course, Jase Robertson is a rarity among reality stars, in that he was most gracious in spite of what could easily have been regarded as a massive insult. Despite being temporarily kicked out by an employee, Jase decided that the brief confusion was not problematic enough to warrant switching hotels. The Duck Dynasty star explained, “He just didn’t know, and that’s fine.”
While many fans can sympathize with Jase on some level (most of us don’t have such impressive beards, but we’ve all felt out of place at one time or another) some allege that his little pun makes light of racial profiling, a very serious issue. Do you agree? Sound off in the comments section below!
