CMT’s Next Superstar judge Kristin Chenoweth has a money-making proposition on her hands, but the the attached stipulations are (literally and figuratively) pretty crappy. Jay Leno says he’ll pay the singer $1,000 — if she agrees to eat her own poop. We’re assuming she’s going to pass on that opportunity.
Jay Leno and Kristin Chenoweth certainly make an interesting on-screen pair, as we learned recently during a very interesting (if not slightly disturbing) interview on The Tonight Show. During this decidedly odd little chat, Kristin made a point of emphasizing her hatred of all things seafood. On an earlier Tonight Show appearance, Jay Leno had offered to send $500 to charity if the singer ate sea urchin. Kristin ultimately obliged, although she later complained that it was full of “claws and eyeballs” and tasted like “like snot and B.O
The complaints continued, for as Kristin Chenoweth explained, she’s since been informed that Jay Leno shortchanged her — and that a donation of $1,000 would be more appropriate. Jay agreed, but added that, in exchange for $1,000, she’d have to eat something a little more interesting.
Inspiration struck soon after, for, as Kristin was recounting how, during a recent trip to Australia, she learned that baby koalas eat their mothers’ poop. As always, interesting topics of conversation for Kristin and Jay, right? But this random chat wound up inspiring Jay, who then suggested, “A thousand dollars.” The singer than attempted to clarify the deal, asking if she’d be expected to eat her own poop or the excrement from a koala. Jay waved it off and said it was too disgusting to consider.
Would you be willing to take on Jay Leno’s offer? How about the earlier charity offer for eating sea urchins? Sound off in the comments section below!
