Christina Aguilera has long made a point of showing appreciation for her dedicated fan base. But just in case the sentiment wasn’t crystal clear, The Voice judge recently posted a long love letter to her fans, complete with advice for aspiring musicians.
The most likeable celebs are the ones who acknowledge that, without the constant support of super fans, they would not enjoy such fame and fortune. Based on that standard, Christina Aguilera has definitely put herself in the public’s good graces. Although busy shooting music videos and preparing for a new season of The Voice, the singer took some time out to thank those responsible for where she is today.
Christina began her letter by explaining that she wanted to “reach out to my fans out there that continuously support me and have my back relentlessly throughout the years.” She continued the praise by highlighting the many positive qualities displayed by those fans, including, “Your time & devotion. Your kindness and understanding. Your patience and compassion.”
Although she has experienced a few bumps along the way, Christina says that this “patience and compassion” expressed by fans has always pushed her to deliver her best work. What’s more, as a result of such strong support, the singer never feels “the need to defend my own work or myself. Or my purpose behind it.”
Expanding on that theme, Christina explained that, although they were nice side effects of a successful career, money and fame had never been her “sole driving force of motivation.” Instead, she’s driven by “the love of creating, expressing & connecting with myself and others alike through music.”
