Teresa Giudice is experiencing financial difficulties at the moment, as would be expected in a battle that includes dozens of counts of fraud. But no matter how desperate, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star says she’d never stoop to the level of using fan donations to pay the bills.
Showbiz is expensive and Teresa Giudice has to pay for those tanning salon visits somehow, right? So why not ask for funding from the adoring fans? According to the latest rumors, that’s exactly what the reality star did at a recent meet and greet held at the Malibu Beach Resort. A press release for the event made no attempt to disguise the event’s intentions, stating, “Millions of fans around the world strongly believe Teresa will be vindicated soon and are seeking donations for the reality TV star, who has four young children. The group is dedicated to helping Teresa stay out of prison and also help pay any fines or other restitution that Teresa and Joe are ordered to pay.”
Despite this press release, Teresa Giudice insists that the meet and greet had absolutely nothing to do with fundraising. Responding to the rumors, the reality star tweeted, “Tonight’s appearance at Maliblue is just a meet & greet w/ fans. I just heard that some of the workers there wanted to support me, and that is very sweet & I appreciate it, but if anyone wants to support me, please do it by donating to a charity I love: @NephCure. Xx.”
Perhaps Teresa Giudice is telling the truth…perhaps she’s not soliciting money from fans after all. But having decimated what little credibility she possessed in the first place, we’re not exactly inclined to believe anything she has to say.
Do you think rumors of these Teresa Giudice donations are true? Sound off in the comments section below!
