If anyone’s had an up-and-down week, it’s Jack Osbourne. Shortly before his Dancing With The Stars reveal on Good Morning America, the season 17 contestant learned that his wife had suffered a late-term miscarriage.
It can’t be easy for Dancing With The Stars contestant Jack Osbourne to put on a smile each day and lace up his dancing shoes. After all, his wife Lisa suffered a miscarriage just over a week ago. She recently took to her blog Raddest Mom to share the sad development in a post entitled “Unfortunate Announcement.” But first, she prefaced the post by telling readers, “I have been dreading this announcement … I needed some time before being able to say it.”
Lisa then mustered up her courage and continued: “Jack and I lost our baby boy last week. Having a late-term miscarriage is by far the hardest thing either of us have ever had to go through. We appreciate all of your prayers and ask for privacy and respect during this time.”
This truly is devastating news for the couple, which, after getting hitched last October, had finally announced the pregnancy early last month. But they’re doing their best to remain positive. As Lisa explains, “It’s important to stay hopeful and optimistic through life’s toughest moments, we never know why things like this happen. All we can do is trust in God and know he has a plan for our lives.”
Although we’re sure his heart is aching, Jack Osbourne has decided to continue with DWTS rehearsals. Perhaps this will give fans yet another reason (you know, besides the MS diagnosis) to rally around their favorite reality star.
