We picture the members of the Duck Dynasty clan as reality stars, duck hunters, rednecks…and definitely not models! But Sadie Robertson is determined to break the mold, having recently debuted as a model. How is the fan reception thus far?
The transition from reality television to modeling seems to be a common one these days. Just look at Kendall Jenner, who managed to harness that Keeping Up With The Kardashians fame and turn it into a successful career as a top model. Now, Sadie Robertson is following the same track, hoping that the notoriety from Duck Dynasty will be enough to get her noticed on the runway.
Looks like the effort is already providing successful, with Sadie landing an important gig as spokesmodel and prom dress designer for Sherri Hill. Sadie’s prom dress designs are already in high demand, with RaeLynn’s Boutique already on board to carry the formal gowns come prom season 2014. Alison McDaniel, RaeLynn’s owner, told PR Web, “Sadie is perfect for the role of a Sherri Hill spokesmodel. There is something innocent and sweet about her young, girl-next-door look.”
But innocent appeal is not the only desirable quality Sadie has to offer. The reality star also is willing to put in the necessary time as a spokesmodel, attending such events as the recent Formal Fashion Week in Atlanta. Alison McDaniel explains, “The great thing about Sadie is that she will have time to make appearances with Sherri Hill as she did in Atlanta last week. Retailers enjoy meeting designers and their spokesmodels, especially one that will be relatable to our customers.”
