This drama was made for an episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians! Instead it happened during a surprise appearance by Kanye West on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon where he performed his song Bound 2. So what did the controversial rapper have to say to one of his lady love Kim Kardahsian’s ex-boyfriends?
When Kanye West popped up to perform at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to promote his album Yeezus and his upcoming North American tour, he also had a special message for Ray J, one of Kim Kardashian’s notorious ex-boyfriends.
Ray J has been very outspoken about his five year relationship with Kim — which culminated in a now-infamous sex tape — since she moved on in 2007. Most recently he released a crudely named song titled, I Hit It First in April. In the song he sings, “She might have moved on to rappers and ballplayers, but we all know I hit it first”. The line also making reference to Kim Kardashian’s other exes, Reggie Bush and Kris Humphries.
Kanye West had been mum on the subject until Monday night, when he changed the lyrics in his song to include a line referencing Ray J, the little brother of singer, Brandy, “Brandy’s little sister lame man he know it now/When a real brother hold you down you ‘sposed to drown”.
Was the response even necessary? Kim seems to have completely moved on. She gave birth to her and Kanye’s first child, daughter North West in June — after documenting her pregnancy on the latest season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians — and plans on accompanying him on his tour when it kicks off on October 19th.
Should Kanye have responded to Ray J? Or is Ray J still trying to gain fame, six years after his relationship with Kim ended? Comment below and let us know.
