The new season of Dancing With The Stars kicks off tonight with a brand new cast of celebrities – is anyone else as excited as we are? As we countdown the hours until the season 17 premiere, some of the celebrities admitted that they are nervous as they prepare to show off their dance moves!
Hooray, Dancing With The Stars is back! While fans are anxious to see how their favorite season 17 celebrities will do on the dance floor, some of those celebrities are feeling the jitters set in. In fact, comedian Bill Engvall told GMA correspondent Melissa Rycroft recently that he is more nervous than he thought he would be, while Leah Remini said she is terrified about her debut tonight.
Meanwhile, Glee’s Amber Riley admitted: “Yes, I am definitely nervous. Very anxious,” about tonight’s premiere. Riley, however, is also hoping to set example for young ladies everywhere.
Among those who do not seem as nervous as the rest is Valerie Harper, who is battling terminal brain cancer. Instead, Harper seemed hopeful that she can inspire others, telling Rycroft: “I think it was a great opportunity to get out there and say, you know, ‘I have cancer. Keep living your life. Keep moving and you can win.’”
Another contestant looking to inspire others is television personality Jack Osbourne, who has MS. Osbourne told Rycroft that he wants people to know: “when you get diagnosed with MS that your life doesn’t stop and that you are still, for the most part, able to do what everyone else can.”
We can’t wait to see how the celebrities do tonight!
