Jennifer Lopez is quite capable of producing a killer track on her own, as she’s proven time and time again. That being said, the American Idol judge’s best work results from musical collaborations. And this is exactly why we’re thrilled to learn that JLo and Robin Thicke are hitting it off in the recording studio!
American Idol diva Jennifer Lopez is definitely keeping busy, what with her participation on a hit reality show’s judging panel, not to mention current efforts to record an eighth studio album. Of course, news of JLo’s upcoming album has spurred plenty of gossip about potential collaborations. First, an onstage duet convinced fans that JLo would take Taylor Swift under her wing. Taylor may have denied the rumors, but that’s not stopping fans from speculating about other possible guest artists. The latest gossip target? None other than Blurred Lines hunk Robin Thicke.
We’re not sure if JLo and Robin Thicke have been attempting to keep their alleged collaboration under wraps or if their latest get-together was just a spur of the moment thing. Either way, the cat is officially out of the bag. This genius joining of forces was first discovered by Jennifer’s sister, who, upon capturing a snapshot of the dynamic duo, tweeted, “Uh oh…walked into the studio to find this: @JLo @robinthicke …can’t be nothing but trouble…” The accompanying photo features the musicians having a blast in the recording studio.
No further details just yet from either of the singers, although JLo did end up re-tweeting her sister’s post. We’re eager to learn more about this collaboration and we’ll be sure to spill the beans when we do!
