Josh pursuing a career in politics, Jessa beginning to court an eligible young man…Clearly, changes are afoot in the Duggar family! These developments and others were addressed during last night’s episode of 19 Kids and Counting.
We still think of him as a television personality, but Josh Duggar has recently managed to transition his television notoriety to a successful career in Washington. The reality star has had quite a few landmark moments in which he realized that, yes, this is his new life. For example, during the initial chaos following the tragic Navy Yard shooting, Josh tweeted, “I’m parked on the interstate in traffic…just outside the Navy Yard where there is an active shooter.…” This must have been quite the sobering moment for Josh, although he was able to quickly recover and encourage fans to watch the new episode of 19 Kids and Counting.
That episode was certainly a big one for Josh and Anna Duggar, as it focused on their big move to Washington D.C. Included was a scene in which the couple went on the hunt for an acceptable rental home. Ultimately, they wound up deciding on a spacious 3,000 square foot property which, while requiring a significant commute, ultimately proved the perfect choice for the young family. Josh and Anna then returned home one last time, packing up their belongings with the help of the entire Duggar clan. During the moving extravaganza, Jim Bob admitted that he was struggling with the thought of his eldest son living in Washington. “Even though we have 19 children, it’s still going to be really difficult when one moves away.”
Further exploration of Josh and Anna Duggar’s life in Washington is sure to take place during future episodes of 19 Kids and Counting. What do you think of the reality star’s political aspirations? Sound off in the comments section below!
