Sharon Osbourne’s NBC drama has finally drawn to a close (we think!) and her son Jack is now enjoying his time on Dancing With The Stars. But the rule of Osbournes states that one family member must be mired in catastrophe at all times. Right now, that honor goes to Kelly, who recently filed a lawsuit against her former landlord.
Kelly Osbourne recently moved out of her West Hollywood apartment, a distinctive pad that, in past years, has housed the likes of Brody Jenner and Lindsay Lohan. Unfortunately for Kelly, the move did not exactly go as planned. No complaints about the actually transporting of furniture and decor, but the celeb was disappointed by her former landlord’s failure to return her security deposit. And at $18,700, that is a nice chunk of change Kelly’s missing. Sure, she’s a wealthy celebrity, but it’s the principle of the matter, right?
Hanging on to that nearly $19,000 security deposit was no simple instance of forgetfulness. Kelly’s former landlord says the full deposit was required to cover the cost of damages on her apartment. Kelly’s not a huge party animal these days, and even if she did indulge in the occasional wild night, we find it hard to believe she could cause such extensive damage during her short stay. Then again, the reality star is capable of plenty, including, perhaps, apartment decimation.
It’s a risky game this landlord is playing, for if Kelly Osbourne is able to prove he wrongly retained her security deposit, he’ll owe her twice that sum. We’re going to give the reality star the benefit of the doubt on this one and assume she’s in the clear. What do you think? Sound off in the comments section below!
