Blake Shelton is the ultimate judge and mentor on The Voice, having already achieved an impressive three victories. Given this record of success, we always sit up and take notice when the country crooner comments on a new batch of contestants. What does Blake have to say about this season’s hopefuls?
There’s plenty of talent available on the new season of The Voice. But it’s all up to the coaches to recognize and foster that potential. Blake Shelton says that, between an amazing group of singers and the original four on the judging panel, The Voice season 5 will be extra exciting for audience members. He told Country Weekly, “I think it’s going to create probably the most competitive season that we’ve seen on The Voice so far because the four of us — it really brings back those original rivalries that we had in the beginning.”
They may be huge rivals, but Blake insists that, when all is said and done, he and his fellow coaches are able to remain civil with one another. In other words, don’t expect any Nicki Minaj style feuds on The Voice! Blake explains, “It’s a reminder of how lucky we were to accidentally somehow end up with four people who actually became instant friends and who argue and bicker like friends do, like family do, and we love like family.”
Are you happy to see all four originals back on The Voice? Or did you prefer season 4′s setup? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so leave your thoughts in the comments section below!
