The stars of The Real Housewives of New Jersey really need to learn how to retract their claws, because their antics have once again landed them in hot water. This time, the Jersey crew is being sued for a melee that happened at a hair salon back in March and involved Joe Gorga, Chris and Jacqueline Laurita and Johnny Karagiorgis.
Though the film crew captured all the footage, Bravo elected not to air any of it during the Season 5 finale. Here’s what went down: apparently, the Lauritas believed that Karagiorgis was spreading rumors that their son Nicholas Laurita doesn’t really have autism. One thing led to another, with Karagiorgis swapping insults with the Lauritas and Gorga, and that’s when sh*t got real. Punches were thrown, glass was broken and expensive salon sinks were damaged. By the time the brawl was over, the place looked more like an active crime scene than a place where housewives go to get their hair did.
The glass has long since been cleaned up at the salon, but it seems the real fun will start soon for The Real Housewives of New Jersey stars that were involved in the drama. Even though all four stars filed charges after the fracas, a New Jersey court dismissed them last week. In spite of that, Karagiorgis is planning on moving forward with a lawsuit that names not just the others involved in the fight, but also Bravo, NBC, the production company and the security teams. Even the salon owners are being named in the lawsuit, as Karagiorgis alleges that the brawl was pre-planned as part of a larger conspiracy against him.
