It has spawned several successful pageant careers, including, of course, the redneck phenomenon better known as Honey Boo Boo. But could it be the end of the line for popular reality series Toddlers & Tiaras? And how will we get our pageant fix if TLC axes this crazy show?
Honey Boo Boo launched her spin-off series at the right time, for it looks like future appearances on Toddlers & Tiaras will not be possible. According to the latest batch of rumors, the show will be drawing to a close at the end of this season. This means no more tantrums, no fake eyelashes on tiny girls (unless, of course, you watch Dance Moms), and definitely no more crazy pageant moms.
TLC has yet to offer up the official announcement, but according to a source for Radar Online, Toddlers & Tiaras is as good as over. “After six series, the show has been officially taken out of production. They aren’t using the word ‘cancelled,’ but I can tell you that the show is over.”
Radar Online failed to elicit any real confirmation from TLC, but a representative for the network did admit, “Nothing has been decided at this time, we are just not currently casting at the moment.” No casting means no filming…That certainly cannot be a good sign for the show’s long-term viability!
Are you saddened to hear of Toddlers & Tiaras’ cancellation? Or should this controversial reality series have been axed a long, long time ago? We know you have an opinion and we want to hear it, so sound off in the comments section below!
